Wheel Fitment thread

Okay guys.

As most of you know, zilvia and the like have a thread about this.

I’m hoping this will encourage some people up up their game up, as well as provide a local reference for “what fits” and “what doesn’t”. A lot of these posts have been made lately, so maybe we can condense them all into one spot.

ALL PICTURES MUST BE ACCOMPANIED BY SPECS. Wheel size, tire size, and (effective) offset. If you are really cool, you’ll put camber/pull/etc in there as well.

Example:

15x10 -11
falken ziex 205/50/r15
4 degrees of camber
heavy roll/pull.

**** DISCLAIMER ****

I encourage anyone that feels they’ve put work into their “fitment”… however… if your shit sucks, it deserves to get critiqued. If we had a high HP thread, making fun of the guy that posted his KA would be totally acceptable. This is how we will run this as well.

I don’t give a fuck about the stretched tires/camber/performance arguments. If you wanna argue about the “practicality” of it all, start another thread. (I’m looking directly at you Ahmed). If you can achieve good fitment with square tires, and 295’s on all 4 corners… that rules. As long as it is awesome, post it up.

Good start.

Its ridiculous how big wheels look small on z’s.

This thread still needs more low though.

17x9 fronts with 275/40/17 -5 degrees camber 17x10 rears with 315/35/17 +42 offsets
about the biggest that can be fit on the car

---------- Post added at 07:35 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:33 PM ----------

can I ask… why would you have a 10 inch rim with 205’s on it?

am I out of the loop or something? why would you want your rim so exposed and the tire so streched?

is this another “sleepy eye” craze type thing?

---------- Post added at 07:38 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:35 PM ----------

also…whats with the tires being so close to the fenders? how are you getting any suspension movement ? that black car looks very silly…

ohh also … on my set up…fenders cut out and fender flares added, so you still have full suspension travel, and no interference of tires under full travel

---------- Post added at 07:49 PM ---------- Previous post was at 07:38 PM ----------

ohh sorry…
front wheel offset is +15
rear wheel offset is +25

rear camber is also -3

stock castor, and slight toe out

.

haha! i knew this was coming, I’m into my meaty tires right now and love my grip around corners (for street tires that is) +1 for square tires and tire wall flex  plus I drive her year round (50,000km in the last year :s )

Dude edit your post and put up a front to back fitment shot, hard to make out your “fitment” in that profile pic, I want to see that uber flushness and stretched tire

As stated I did Borrow those wheels/tires to test fit and of course I would go lower but i just put some springs on there for now to give it some low. cars are look’n good in this thread though. Mr takahashi ftw lol.

kengi, they were 215/45R17 nokian hakkapeliittas
i miss them!

heres my current temporary setup that needs some adjustments and alignment still (i wanna make fronts lower w/some more camber)
17x8 +5 FRONT 215/45R17
17x9 +18 with 22mm spacer et -4 215/45R17
fronts are running with s14 front control arms/spindles/5lug
since I daily it, maxed out the camber to be as close to 0 as possible, still negative something as i wear the inside tread alot
front fenders rolled/mashed/rusted

rears i did a roll b4, and then when i had 255/40r17 re01r I did a newspaper pull and then some hammering to fit them
still on stock multilink, but havent installed my adjustable ones yet
HSD coils!

ah, jus lookin at the pics…one side looks lower…i needa take pics on an even flat surface next time.
p.s. rain makes my car look clean…er…its soo effin dirty/rusty but i plan to destroy it at the track hopefully so i dont care 2 much bout the chassis

mark, ur fitment is siick man
jlee! post your fitment!

Not recent pics

In pics. Specs are 17x9 +17 with 245/40/17 all around… With completely fucked up alignment.

Newish set up is 17x9 +17 255/40/17 rear and 17x9 + 12 225.45.17 front… Rolled fenders… needs about another 3’’ drop… 2’’ of that hopefully won’t be done by coils or camber :stuck_out_tongue:
The front tires were free with about 95% tread left. I couldn’t complain since I ripped my sidewall out on my front tire again…
It’s at full factory alignment specs…

Its not zilvia spec fitment, but I think its decent.

18x8.5 +19
235/40/18
-2 camber
rolled fenders

Your car makes me so jealous. It makes me want a hatch again…

ADAM, the people here don’t set their cars up for grip, or drivability. The cars are set up for hard parking and drift.

17x9 +10 front, 17x9 +5 rear. 215/45/R17 all around. -3.5 front -4.5 rear. Rear fenders rolled. Front splash guards removed. Rubbed a little in the front when the suspension was on full soft.

alright roel… last season’s half assed fitment. mis-matched old school coilovers and crappy alignment.

front 18x9 -11 225/40/18 - camber plates maxed out…

new coilovers in the mail. for the 18"s gonna run more stretch less camber and more LOW! keep this thread going guys it’s looking good! =D

rmallari - your car rules.
and i like your s14 jlee
most of our cars with crazy fitment rub on the fronts under hard cornering because how couldnt they but the rears increase camber with travel resulting in less close to the fender dialing in camber to get close… = no rub.
Sorry cutestuff… if you do it proper, there is no rubbing at any time. People that rub, aren’t good at it.

This is why I put that disclaimer in the first post. You have 315s on the rear of a s-chassis… thats cool. My car is a drift car, and being so… 315’s would make zero sense.

Or about as much sense as posting in a fitment thread, when you don’t know what fitment is, or have it.

Like I said… its not bashing if you choose to post in this thread.

Old people don’t really get this.

18x9.5 +30 with 17mm of spacers (effectively +13)
225/40-18
Front -3.5 camber
Rear -3.0 camber
No roll, no pull, no rub.

I could roll my fenders and go lower but I have an ass fuck of a driveway. I clear by about 2mm as it is. When I move I’ll roll and go lower.

where is the “working on my fitment” thread at?

hmmm… guess I am old… when I saw the post of fitiment…it meant just that …how well wheels and rims fit on the car…

now its sort of screwed a up term?

where its how we can put on the worst tire and rim combo that you can find…

ok…here is a side shot of the car at Calabogie…look at the rear wheels…they are pretty tight to the flare…

now…if you want REAL bad ass…this is the best I can do… rolling on 48 inchers, fully chained, and calcium filled, they weigh about 400lbs each rim and tire…AND they rub when I go to fast…and they rip up the ground as well…that has to take the cake… no? (now I know why no one takes the 240sx crowd seriously when I see these “fitiment threads” ) sleepy eye all over again…
