18x9.5 + 18.8.5 Stagger OR 18x9.5 + 18.7.5

So i’m finally getting wheels. Question is what setup will be best. Let it be known that a. I am not tracking this car b. I am not wanting to have to do extensive pulling, relocating wiring harness, slammed to the ground, “beat the crap out of those wheel well to make it fit” type deal. and I’m not a sticker for uber flush scraping rubber/non-existent wheel gap. (obvious based on offset)

Offset is +35 for all wheel setups.

As well what would you suggest tire brand and specs on said setups?

Cheers!

17x9 + 0 or 17x9.5 + 12 or +15 up front with 215/40 Then 18x10.5 + 15 with 265/35 or 255/40 is a perfect fit

lol@ 215/40 and 17x9 or 17x9.5. Not to mention that’s a retardely short tire. 23.7" or something like that lol. Profile that doesn’t exist tire that doesn’t exist on a 9.5 rim. Yes you can do it but no its not smart.

Don’t go with 18s unless you’re going to like 10 up front at leat and fitting real tires not skinny stretched whores. No point.

17x9+20 and a 245/40/17 will fit under stock fenders up front… it’s still shorter than stock (which is 25" – that would be a 255/40/17)

However if you want to follow the crowd and be AWESOME and cool and blend in you can go even more hardcore with this stupidity:

front 17x7.5 165/40r17

rear 17x8 with 165/40r17

I’ll get flamed but its useless, dangerous, ugly piece of shit, tractionless, grippless, ya flame on me im stupid i know.

And then imperss the ladies:

While you can’t get out of your mama’s garage.

that actually looks dangerous…

i fucking hate stretched tires and slammed rides. I dont care how much i get flamed for it

same… I’m an anti-stretch nazi… I run 255/40/17 all around… They fit under stock S14 fender with mild roll.

Good man… 255s can fit on an s13 as well but they need a bit of work with the oem fenders… the rear is not a problem rears can fit 275s and 17x10 under stock metal with a higher offset. Front though would need some pulling. As you know I raped mine (the fenders were poorly repaired by painter so they cracked when being rolled) to fit 17x9.5 +18 with wide running 255s.

Stock s14 can fit 275/40/17 all around… and 285/30/18 under stock fronts… which is pretty awesome… s13s are low on inside front space as well as wheel and shock travel…

IDK what you’re talking about. Tires that doesnt exist? Guy who the hell are you lol? What a joke… 17 front and 18 rear is the best. 17x9+0 or 17x95+12or+15 is literally the best fit up front with a 215/40 then an 18x10.5 + 15 with 265/35 or 255/40 = stretched with super flush.

-_-" I can see this topic slowly taking a nose dive. Please stay on topic with relation to my first post. I am still undecided. leaning more towards the 18x8.5 setup though.

I just don’t see the appeal of buying wide ass rims and looking like a broke ass that couldn’t afford the proper sized tire… By buying tires fit for a 7’’ rim. Maybe it’s just me…
As soon as James from weldcraft gets back to me I’ll know if I’m shoving a 17x12 or 13 in the rear… With what will most likely be the largest lip on son… Ever…

You’re an idiot… there is no “best” fitment…
stretched tires are gay. Much like bolt in cages… I’m starting to see a trend with you…[COLOR=“Silver”]

Well since I personally think 18’s on S13’s are dumb. I’d suggest a 17x9.5 rear and 17x8.5 front… 255/40/17 rear and 245/40/17 front… Only the slightest bit of stretch… Small roll. with about a +20~(give or take a mm or two) offset in front and +12 - +15 rear…
Plus tires are cheaper…

P.S.
I like this merging/adding of the posts feature

Yeah I guess having proper fit wheels is gay? If you are agreeing with the guy talking about 17x8 with 165/40r17’s then clearly you have no idea what you are takling about. You obviously must not have money to build proper shit. Really I have nothing more to say, the picture says it all. I bet you dont even drive your car.

Man, Just GTFO of Son, if all the people that have been here for years are stupid, then leave.

Plus he stated he didnt want a roll, That has a roll

What about…

18x9.5 245/40/18
18x8.5 225/40/18

Battles would look dope on your car.

So what if it has a roll? It doesnt need a roll to fit, he’s running spacers… Did i call all the people who been here for years stupid? No, only the guy talking about 17x8 rims with 165/40 and anyone who would agree with him. Point is what I mention is a next to perfect wheel fitment with no big mods needed to run. Much better then anyone else has stated so far, but you wouldnt know that, rocking 3 diff rims on your car. Dont put words in my mouth. Its just funny that I mention a great wheel fitment, that I got from the KING of s-chassis wheel fitment, then some idiot who doesnt know anything tries to say its " gay " Sorry but their is NOTHING gay about that 240sx or the wheel fitment. 18x8.5 Eh… Not so good honestly…

So to have proper fitting wheels you have to have gay ass stretched tires?
I don’t agree with 165’s on a 17x8 at all(hence my running a 255/40/17 on 17x9’’) I have a far better idea of what I’m talking about then you seem to comprehend.

Looks like my wheels fit just perfectly fine… My apologizes for not slamming my shit. I prefer a proper working suspension geometry.
I don’t have money? lol okay…
Much like yourself. I don’t drive my car in the winter…

There’s nothing wrong with that. It would just look better in a 17, lol :stuck_out_tongue:

^ looks proper bro

Yeah I am not going to hate on that, looks decent. I just thought it was dumb, for being called gay or dumb for a fitment that I got off someone who really knows his shit. You cant even say that fitment isnt sexy as fuck. Your car is cool dude, I wont hate, but if that was my car, believe me someone from son would be talking pure shit about a number of things, one would probly be " look at that gap dood " …

^rotflmao at scraping front fender. Your front wheel looks like it’s going to snap and fall off and the tires look like they are falling off wth :-/

s13counterpart: Beatiful car man and 100% with you on all you’ve said.

That being said 18s are not gay on an s13, its just that people dont need to go that big, 18s have a much wider tire selection than 17s when you go wider and lower profile too (eg; 285/30/18). It would be niec if there were more offerings in 17s like 295/35/17 or something like. 18s on the other hand have a plathora of tire choices, compounds, etc… etc…

Problem is people get 18s and then fit shitty 215s 225s, and thats just kinda gay with a huge rim and bicycle sized tire. Just unecessary unsprung weight with no benefit. Wider is always more beneficial but like i said… not what people go after…
