The Ten Worst Cars and Trucks by Consumer Affairs

This must be the reason that Ford is doing so well as a company.

Ford simply can’t compete with the import brands so thats forcing plant shutdowns and transferring employees to other plants. Now with this, the company can’t afford to pay the high hourly wages and salaries so they’re offering a lot of buy outs to replace production workers with younger kids for much less money.

Replace old men making good money with young kids making less money = less labor and more parts per hour

Edit: We’ll see what happens in September when the Union and Company negotiates a new contract.

Also, the Ford Edge and Lincoln MKX is selling 20% over projected sales. Now with the new Ford Flex (similar to the Honda Element) and Ford Reflex (two seat roadster), I think sales should take another big jump. Ford is starting to move into a new direction.
