dude, it’s insane the amount of northbound traffic (illegal entry into Canada) we (western Washington) have. without getting into too many details, it has increased exponentially in the past few months.
Notable people who have publicly stated that President Obama did not wiretap Trump tower.
- Paul Ryan
- Mitch McConnell
- Richard Burr - Chairman of Senate Intelligence Committee
- Mark Warner - Vice Chairman of Senate Intelligence Committee
- Devin Nunes - Chairman of House Intelligence Committee
and as of yesterday… - FBI Director James Comey
Yet the WH presses on. Seems like a reasonable allocation of efforts…
But don’t worry, Trump (or whoever was tweeting from the POTUS account) tweeted this DURING the hearing with Comey yesterday:
Which was false. Comey was asked about it shortly after and made it clear that they did not say that, nor did they intend to. In fact, he made it clear that Russia DID try to effect the outcome of the election and that the Trump campaign has been under investigation since last July for ties with Russia. That’s not yet evidence of wrongdoing on Trumps side, but it’s very clear that Russia felt they would benefit from a Trump presidency or at the very least, a weakened Clinton presidency.
Well one thing is clear after this, we should give the Federal Government more power, money, and control.
It’s so brutally frustrating just how bad the US Gov is at everything they do. Yet some people want more! I don’t get it.
Yet, when Trump wants to move them from giving money and funding programs they shouldn’t, people make a big stink.
Mark Poloncarz can sit himself right down because all he’s doing is exposing how much his dept relies on having federal money come in and now he’s getting cut off and having to work with what he has.

I agree with all of the cuts that he’s making, but he’s also being a massive hypocrite with these Golf weekends and security costs for his family at Trump tower. So he really needs to start drinking his own kool-aid and cut his own expenses too.
Trump wants to take every dollar he’s trying to save on these programs that people use, mainly the old, young, sick, and poor, and then some, and go blow it on a useless wall and more military shit that we don’t need. It’s not like he’s trying to save money. Now he’s going all in on a “health care” plan that basically just kills Americans in order to give the rich a tax cut. Not a single person receives coverage under the AHCA that wouldn’t otherwise, or has their coverage improved, and 30+ million lose it. YUGE!
Turn off the boob tube man, you’ve definitely done your media watching homework.
It’s taking coverage away from people who shouldn’t have gotten it in the first place.
I work in insurance, I see the people who get health insurance, go get services done and then never pay their bills. That is not a system that works and it needs to be pulled back before anymore carriers lose their ass.
1.) Why are the carriers against the Republican plan then?
2.) Why don’t people deserve health insurance? I have a pre-existing condition where my medication costs about $30,000 a month and I’ll need it for life. Am I one of those people that doesn’t deserve to be covered if I ever start my own business or quit working for the man?
3.) You just made a perfect case for the individual mandate, which they want to get rid of. Do you remember uninsured people taking ambulances to the emergency room for everything because it was the only way they could get treatment, then stiffing out on the bill raising prices for everyone? It was only a few short years ago.
4.) Other than the millionaires who get tax cuts in this bill, give me one good reason why anyone would be for it? It’s literally kicking 30 million people off of insurance to provide tax cuts for the rich. There are no benefits to anyone else. How do you benefit from it?
The only benefit I can see for this is it will be political suicide for Republicans. But to me political views are not worth millions of people dying.
I have pretty much stayed out of all these threads, but due to the unbelievable lack of car content that I come here for, and the over-riding feeling of mistakenly logging onto an alt-right site some of the time I come on here these days, I feel the need to chime in here…
I have never identified with any political party, and do not intend to start now, but some things going on both now and in recent years are very troubling…
The overly-pc coddling from the left that has been pushed down our throats for the last decade plus, has led to an equally and extremely shitty form of false nationalism from the right, and none of it is pretty…this country has lost it’s collective mind…because most people don’t have the slightest fucking clue what is really going on…and no one seems too interested in really getting it right…that is what is so scary…
And personal politics aside, are we really at the point where we are determining who should and shouldn’t have health coverage? Do you suppose we just let people fend for themselves when coverage goes away? Have you ever worked in healthcare? Ever seen people let their health go over time and then eventually die in front of you due to lack of adequate insurance throughout their lives? We are going to have a government no matter what - where do you think the money needs to be spent, in order of importance? A wall to Mexico? More military spending? Or do you think having 300+ million people with some form of decent healthcare might be a better idea?
Some issues are bi-partisan…how about we start being rational humans again, instead of all the identity politics, prejudice, and overall insanity?
It is hard to see the direction this forum and country has gone in recent times…
you’re right about the political slant. I feel like we need some more lefties to bring it all back in to balance but then again… maybe just let nature take its course?
If we started an impeachment pool that would liven things up a bit
I don’t need the government to fine me if I don’t buy healthcare and I also don’t need/want the government giving healthcare to those who don’t want to pay for it themselves, that’s pretty much where I leave it.
When I’m forced to buy healthcare to cover for someone who otherwise couldn’t afford it, that’s where I draw my line in the sand.

If anyone actually thinks the government is going to save them money and/or look out for them, I feel sorry for them.
I voted for Trump because I didn’t want any more programs that were going to coddle deadbeats and provide more for people than they deserve, something we’ve done oh so well for the past 8 years.

Single payor is going to be the only thing that simultaneously brings healthcare costs down and gets 100% of people covered… Eventually we’ll need to bite the bullet. Even though I am anti-big gov, I see this as something we’ll eventually have to bend on.
The current AHCA is NOT going to solve anyone’s problems when it comes to high-cost health insurance.
:naab:
Bobby, how are you in the insurance industry but don’t understand how insurance works?
hook me up with with your best plan, I’ll start paying right after I get in an accident.
Not me in either scenario really, I just come here for car stuff…it’s harder to find now…and one can not help but notice that this election has been by far and away the most divisive and talked about election, ever…and it is everywhere you go…even car forums…
Can’t argue with that
