yes. fastest auto injector’d only tdi.
Chris’ car ran strong, I’d be happy w/ those times & trap for sure.
Same with Jays05, Nick and Rubin’s Evo, all good runs!
This wasent on the list of excuses of why you could not detail our cars today…:Idiots
Jay, I wouldn’t be surprised if the header flange nuts are loosening under hard load(alot of heat). Have the guys @ Synapse drill a set of 6 nuts for you and safety wire them after installation(torque then wire). If all the appropriate turbo support brackets and rear DP to transmission bracket are solid, the exhaust moving around back will likely have little to do with it.
I’m not sure of your exact setup but FWIW info wise, stainless header flanges expand quite a bit under alot of heat, which can stretch the fasteners and then as the flanges cool after a run the vibration of the motor can rattle the bolts loose. Just a little at a time, but enough over multiple heat cycles until the tension on the gasket is low enough that it blows. If you’re constantly blowing gaskets out, it’s worth the money spent to have that done on top of anything else you may have them do while they’re under the car. Or have them install some steel lock tabs under the nuts(common race part that can be purchased all over the place or made to suit)
Car sounds like it’s running good now!
Thanks Adam. There is no turbo support bracket and that is part of the problem last time it broke the rear DP to tranny bracket and nearly ripped the exhaust off the car (I think one hanger was still on).
ni99a i went to the dr’s and i have a sinus infection and an ear infection. you’re lucky i’m coming up at all
Just messing dude, hope you feel better tomorrow.
Ahhhhhhhhhh, yeah you’re car really needs that turbo support. Even if it only one of the two. Definitely should have Morgan make something to take that load off the header system. 35R rotated mount I’m assuming, hence no OEM brackets???
Correct there’s no OEM bracket - my old rotated 35r kit (perrin) didn’t have one so we never made one with the custom synapse setup. But now perrin ships a bracket with their 35r kits. I was talking to my tuner (junior) about it today and he told me that he has two support brackets on his car for the turbo/uppipe.
is anyone going on sunday?
i know :hug . im going to bed naow so i should be good.
I’m dying to see the videos of my two passes today, if anybody has em, please post them.
i got some of you on cossey’s camera
the 11.15 pass is on cosseys camera. we got there just as you did the 11.09 run
dayyyymmm 11.09? holy
Yeah I think I can get the eighth mile down to 6.9 @ 102 on pump 93. Which means the c16 map should trap 105+ in the eighth, it makes +100wtq and +70whp. When I went 10.7 @ 132 on the racegas map a few weeks ago the eighth mile was only 6.9 @ 99. So I’m guessing 93 will go 10.8 and c16 will go 10.20 @ 137 or so when everything is sorted.
thats FLYING!
HTA86 time?:shifty:lol
+1
That is MOVING, I’m mad I missed both your runs! I wanted to see it go.
I ran a 12.9 today. I just got back.
