Ok. The Versa will be available only with the 1.8L to start. It does share the chassis with the new Renault Clio. It will be sold with the 4dr sedan and hatch back. If they do release the 3dr might be badged as SE-R or Sport Compact (just guessing). Here are some pics of the Clio. The styling is more Megane’ish.
The Sport Concept is just a reworked 3-door Versa. If we are lucky…very lucky we may see something like the sport concept in a couple years to re-kindle interest in the versa before a model redesign.
I took a close look at the Tiida’s at SEMA and they look well built compared to the Yaris etc.
Isn’t the Azeal due for an '07 release, if they can just stop blowing up QR25’s with the turbo that they are slapping on them. All I know is that now with the new Civic and cars like the SRT-4 and Cobalt SS to name a few Nissan had better have something in the works to be just amazing, even a nice new B16 Turbo’d or Supercharged and redesigned into a a sedan/coupe lineup just like a civic or something oh well I don’t care by the time I want a new vehicle it will be a nice big Titan to haul by big ass boat :finga:
So the Versa will be realeased in Canada aound June this year. First on a 4 door hatch version and later in the fall the sedan will come. For a 2 door version, there’s no say right now. (I work for Nissan and ask way to many questions, you do the math.). The Versa is build on the B platfrom called Tiida in Japan. It’s going to have a brand new 1.8L engine. No more cast iron block for that car. That car should be a hit for Nissan, well I sure hope so anyways.
