The worlds richest business man is the worlds cheapest bastard..

Once again…

The reason they use LABOR is because CHINA has an almost UNLIMITED amount of people that can be trained to do a job at $80-$100 per month that means they can forgo the expensive automated processes…

I’m not going to argue anymore cause you hatred for our government just makes you want to believe anything that is thrown at you that puts the US in the bad light. You don’t understand economics and I’m not a master of economics but I can see how “free trade” isn’t sustainable and I think the US should protect itself against outsourcing, unlimited work visa, and unlimited immigration.

no ,newchic % silverhand = 2,darkstar=1

My hatred for the government has nothing to do with this. I dont even understand how this puts the government in “bad light”. We’re talking economics, so please stop telling me what my motivations are.

secondly, STOP IT! Stop comparing this to outsourcing or immigration. Because this is neither. Obviously you are against this because it will lower your wages and make your job market a more competative one. You are the biased one in this arguement, not I.

thirdly: China may have a shitload of people in it, but just like any other counrty, if you possess a skill, you will get paid more. They arent plucking rice farmers out of the patties, throwing them in a classroom and making them learn IT stuff. They have good, expensive universities over there where kids fight very hard to get into. The creme de la creme get in, work their asses off and become very skilled, very competent workers.

if they wanted it to end so bad they wouldnt keep arguing

It puts the government in a bad light because if they open the flodd gates… we will be flooded.

No… you stop. You need to see how they do compare. For example, if the government opens the gates for skilled workers, non-skilled workers will also be coming in … not just from China, but Mexico. The more people you have flooding ANY job market the more the price of that job goes down. Skill level has nothing to do with that scenario. Think of it like this… certain cars are made in “limited Edition”… they cost more. Other cars are pumped out too fast and they do not hold their value. Does that help explain?

Only if there aren’t 100 others with the same skill… just happy to get a job and make less money for it.

And how do you know this?

I’m not arguing with you… I just don’t see how you don’t get this. This has the potential to hurt every American. Not just IT people or engineers or what ever.

he’s darkstar knows all, done all

:blue:

By the way… this ^^^^ is one article… not a law… and he only has issues with his company. The government doesn’t work that way. It’s all or none with them. They can’t say send Bill a few good workers but don’t let anyone else get any.

And how do you think they are going to differentiate between skilled labor and unskilled labor. Most of these third world countries only has schools thru 6th grade… so someone who has graduated from 12 grades could be called skilled labor.
Not to mention if the US only allows folks with degrees to come here and get jobs… that would be discrimination.

Its not opening a floodgate.

How pretel will non-skilled workers be coming into the country? This is specifically for skilled workers only. There are certain criteria that must be met. I have some experience with this. We have about 40 kids that come in from Europe every summer to work in Ocean City. The crap they have to go through to be able to come just for 6 months is incredible. The interviews, the red tape, the applications, the screenings, the cost of the actual visa… And this is for UNSKILLED workers for a 6 month temp visa. Imagine the screening process for a much more permanent visa which only allows certain types of workers come into the country. How this in any way equates to unskilled Mexicans coming into the country is beyond me.

Only if there aren’t 100 others with the same skill… just happy to get a job and make less money for it.

Of course, because they are in a market with a labor shortage. But they arent being paid the same as a field hand. They are still making a comfortable living. You make it sound like these people are Mexican farm workers coming to the US as a last ditch attempt to get enough money to stave off starvation. Yeah the market is more lucrative here, but they certainly werent starving back home. You think they show up to their high rise offices in rags, play admin to some huge server for 12 hours, collect their $5, then march back to their shanty?

And how do you know this?

because its common knowledge/common sense.

The US can allow whoever the fuck we want into our country. Its not discrimination.

Heres the EXACT definition of who is allowed to come into the US under this visa.

Taken from this link (US Citizenship and Immigration Services website: http://uscis.gov/graphics/howdoi/h1b.htm

A specialty occupation requires theoretical and practical application of a body of specialized knowledge along with at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent. For example, architecture, engineering, mathematics, physical sciences, social sciences, medicine and health, education, business specialties, accounting, law, theology, and the arts are specialty occupations.

There. Now please stop all this nonesense about this giant flood of unskilled workers coming into the country under these proposed changes.

p.s. :owned:

you ever think that they can get fake shit that says they are a skilled worker?

You can’t declare :owned: by yourself :kekegay:

shut the fuck up you stupid fucking backwoods sister fucking west virginia faggot.

:fart:

last i noticed my girl > yours… and shes not from the same area as me

:owned:

As a H1B visa holder who came to the US to work, it’s interesting to read your various points of view.

H1B candidates will always take second place to American citizens in the employer’s eyes, because eventhough they may get paid a little less in some circumstances (maybe 5-10%), the employer still needs to file up to $10k in legal fees and they can’t start work straight away. Every 3 years their visa has to be renewed and they are only allowed into the country for a maximum period of 6 years on that visa, unless their status changes.

Taking the view that bringing in H1B visa holders is bad for the American economy is probably a little naive. More skilled workers means more taxes and more tertiary jobs for American citizens. A growing company helps stimulate the economy though more business between vendors, suppliers and customers, which then has a knockon effect, meaning more jobs in the service industries, etc.
