Theres a 4.3 for sale on this site (and albany underground) for $200. From what Ive seen in offroad magazines its a fairly popular swap.
too big for my taste in this rig. I’d want bigger axles and tires, and dual yota cases if I went 4.3.
I’m running the 16 valve 1.6 sidekick engine in mine with a sami trans and geared sami case on top of geared toyota axles and 37s. The whole rig should be right around 3k lbs which allows it to go like a mofo without breaking
