It sounds pretty nice for a high revving motor. I’ve never been a big fan though. I don’t see the hype surrounding the RB series. I still think most V8’s sound better than pretty much anything, but its all subjective in the end.
As a big fan of both and an owner of BOTH, i must say that any RB at high RPM is worthy of the hype, soundwise. Knowing that your car is making that sweet sound is even more awesome. A good sounding RB is amazing to listen to and I cold listen all I want,
That being said, just because of it’s a V8, doesn’t make it automatically sound good. I’ve heard plenty of really shitty, farty sounding 305’s and 350’s. Some SB’s can send chills up my spend…
end of the day?? the higher revving one has to win out for me.
I have this DVD from one of my magazines… I occasionally turn it on and crank it up just for giggles.
I like the sound of my RB on the straight pipe. The sound of my LT-1 with shorty hedders, no cats, and magnaflows…all 2.5"
Yet, my dads 427…oh my fawkin gawd! long tube side pipe hedders. Pant creaming goodness!

what u guys are liking is actualy the sound of inline 6 motors. Check old school BMW inline 6 motors and even the more recent stuff. The old school I6 BMWs when turbocharged also sound veeery much like a RB
