Your favourite exhaust notes...

This was mentioned in Member’s Chat and I wanted to touch on it here, since I guess i’m kind of a car nut and want to see what you guys are into.

So which cars (stock) do it for you?

Some of my favourite exhaust notes:

– Ferrari (just about any…)
– Lamborghini Countach & Gallardo specifically
– Dodge Viper & yes, the SRT-4 (seriously…)
– Subaru WRX STi
– Infiniti G35/Nissan 350Z (VQ35)
– Chevy LS-series
– Nissan Skyline/RB-series

Oh, and old 911 Porsches…they’re incredible!

F355

end of discussion

normal cars that i would see on a daily basis that i love hearing are:

Subaru WRX STi
Infiniti G35/350Z

i love the WRX STi the most out of all cars that don’t cost a fortune to purchase.

“More than you can afford, pal.”

a clean ctr with its vtec too low, when they give it just to vtec and change gears lol

baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaBAA! baaaaaa lol
ps. that dyno run with the 355… what speed do you think he was at when he got off the gas lol… i say at least 290

CGT with straight pipes?

not often do you really get to hear people wind it out on the streets in cars like that ferrari, i’ve heard it a few times, it’s awesome.

The old Porsche’s and the G35’s sound sick when accelerating.

Almost forgot! Consider it added to my list:

I’ve hung with an F355 at 170km/h and it’s audible for more than 1 kilometre. The shifts are really distinct…and the sound of the exhaust bounces off the concrete highway barriers beautifully…

nothing better then a civic or integra hitting vtec!!

Toyota Supra has always been one of my favs…

How it sounds at the end after being tuned.

hmmm is300 sounds great from the inside

anything inline 6 really

oh

a good old rx7 TII sounds great too

you can’t forget the LS series motors. Im a vette guy, I LOVE these things!

Not in any specific Order

Nissan 350Z
Toyota Supra
Anything with a RB
All Ferraris especailly F360 with Tubi’s
All Lambos Specifically a Diablo 6.0 with Tubi’s
Porsche 911 GT3 Clubsport
Alfa Romeo Milano with Tubi sounds wicked
VW VR6’s
Lotus Esprit V8

I could go on all day, but theres just a few.

  1. VW’S!!! with those performance mufflers…

  2. G35

  3. 350z

  4. WRX STI

any porche:p …except for the boxter:ugh: :ugh:

New 505hp LS7’s
Type R, K-series vtec motors.
Boosted sohc vtec motors.
WRX/Sti/or other suby NA boxer engines with exhaust
Dads 383 stingray with engine work and full headers/twin 3"/flowmaster 40’s
My yamaha Triple 700 sled with aftermarket exhaust!! UNREAL!
SRT-4 surprisingly really gets me hard. crazy rumble tone/firing on idle/decel
In this order: RB, Built KA-T, SR

N/A 3 rotor. Nothing else compares. Except for maybe a 4 rotor

porsche carrera gt sounds ridiculous

anything open header ALWAYS sounds good

bmw m3 csl with tuned exhaust

190e race car

pretty much any car with a sequential box sounds like god himself singing

Dads 1932 ford 3 window coupe…(original steel) flathead V8 with a 4" merc. crank, fenton headers to straight pipes, Eddie Meyers finned aluminum heads with dual Stromberg 97’s on a Meyers highrise intake and a Winfield camshaft.

Sitting in the rumble seat at a light idling all lumpy and shit… listening to each bank fire back and forth… then opening her right up.

That one is sweet, but the '32 ford victoria with the model B 4 banger with overhead valve conversion and headers with a cutout is also a very distinct and meatty sound.

Also:
old school V8 mopars, they have an exhaust note like nothing else on the planet…

Ducati 998
or a Busa…
those 2 are a work of art…
