Thinking of doing trackdays? Checkout RRW Trackday Directory 2012

For those who didn’t know already and are interested in doing trackdays, Road Racing World started publishing their “Trackday Directory” since 2008; While you can order a hard copy from their site, however their electronic version of the directory is free to read online:

View 2012 RRW Trackday Directory Here

This directory will contain anything and everything you will ever want to know about trackdays, trackday clubs, circuits and all the ins-and-outs of how to participate. I was going to do a little write up but this will be more concise than anything I can ever possibly write, so enjoy!

I Should have signed up to them, they had a free magazine give away.

I am in heaven now:) lol So my new helmet is only DOT approved, i guess cause it had the retractable sunglasses built it lol, but the passenger lid the old HJC is snell and dot, were is a good local place to buy leathers, gloves, and boots… hate to sound lame as hell, but i hate ordering stuff online like that, I would like to try it on first for accurate sizing lol!!!

Do check with the club.

Not Snell certified does not necessary mean it is not compliant, if it is also ECE 22.05 certified, you should be good to go. FYI AGV helmets that VR race with in MotoGP is not Snell certified, iirc all AGV helmets are not, but they are ECE 22.05 certified, therefore good enough for MotoGP and your local trackday.

On the other hand, Snell certified may not necessary mean it is compliant either. Some clubs will only allow Snell 2005 or newer, so if you have a Snell 2000 it will not be compliant and/or if the the helmet’s is too old (manufacturing date), they might not pass tech either.

Hope this helps or confuse you even more…:rofl

how do i tell if its snell 2000 or 2005 lol, my one lid should pass tech lol, its snell/dot ill just use that one, and were are local places that sell the boots, leathers, and gloves I would need to track also back protect.

There should be a sticker with the Snell date AND another sticker with the helmet manufacturing date on the eps inside the helmet, you might have to move the soft liner around to find it and THAT is the sticker tech will be looking for.

No one will care what is printed on the outside of the helmet.

Locally I say Street and Comp will have all the racer gear, otherwise Revzilla (where I got most of my stuff) cause they have no restocking fee and will gladly exchange for size and will ship free; at least that is what they advertise.

awesome man!!! thanks for info, so im good on helmet mine is SNELL M2010? lol
