A Snell 95 helmet is pretty much legal in most track events including
SOLO1 (except SOLO1 with a Snell 95 will require a rollcage).
You can visit www.SOLOOntario.com for rules/regluations on helmet
requirements. If a helmet is acceptable for SOLO events, it should be
fairly acceptable for most amateur track events.
I wear a Shoei X-11, and a RF900. Snell2000 or M2000. All track legal till next year. then it’s M2005.
Get a lid that breathes well, your head will thank you for it. The lighter, the better, neck may start to hurt.
I have a Shoei RF900
try to get an SA helmet if you can. If you dont care about getting an open face design you can get some SA helmets cheap
Thanks guys.
Get an SA2000 when the 2005s come out (octoberish).
you can use it longer.
happy , i got a Wayne Gretzky jofa helmet you could borrow if you want. it looks real stylish lol

I have an HJC I picked up on sale at CycleWorld last spring. Now is a
good time to go before they get their new line in, since they sell off last
years stock pretty cheap.
The way I see it is you can just get an M2000 helmet for ~$150 if you
are starting out… and then later upgrade to a SA2000, or whatever is
required when you get to a level where they require SA approved
equipment.
stupid question. if i take my car to the track for quarter mile do i need a helmet? or is it just for track applications
farmer
Well, you’ll at least get one run in before they realise how fast you are.
I think they’ll require you to wear a helmet if you break 12.99 …
We have a whole bunch of lids there that are M2000 that we are hocking off for cheap already. HJC AC10’s, CL12’s, CS14’s, FG12’s…etc.
We seriusoly have over 200 lids in stock under $250 that we are trying to unload fast for the upcoming M2005.

Good to hear, I’ll try make time to stop by on the weekend and take a look.
if you can hold off until the sa2005s come out… you can pick up a 2000 for CHEAP.
We’re already hocking off the M2000’s in lieu of the new lids coming in.
