pm’d you details man.
Like posted before 1/2 ton chevy. Will do everything you want and can be had within your budget in reasonable condition if you shop around.
been doing some searching and have found a bunch of chevys, early 2000s are available for a good price it seems. My other option would be to buy a truck for a couple grand, to purely use when i needed to tow or throw something in the bed. I don’t tow often but i do need a truck bed for lumber commonly. When i tow it’s usually my s2000, or a 2up enclosed snowmobile trailer. I could settle with a standard cab, roll up windows high mileage beater and get a car that’s good on gas and reliable for 10grand. Looking around it seems like there is a lot more car you can get for 10grand than a truck
My friend had a rusted out auto Tacoma that had a fucked front end from hitting a deer at 60mph and the whole passenger side got sideswiped by a drunk driver. Couldn’t open the pass doors. Needless to say he chose to take the kbb excellent book value :rofl
a friend of mine had a piece of shit tacoma he bought for 3grand and they gave him 7grand for it. He was suppose to get a new tacoma in the process so they gave him a brand new carolla to drive around while they located a truck for him. he drove it for 3 months and then decided he didn’t want a new tacoma and took the check lol
If you want a cheap beater theres an '04 Silverado 2wd regular cab shortbed at Valley Motors on Erie Boulevard across from Stewarts for $2650. Its got 234k.
Useless truck is useless without 4wd.
yeah, 2wd sucks. Been there before.
No more 2wd trucks or baby trucks for me.
If my truck was 2wd I’d be stuck ALL of the time. It’d be awful haha.
I never had a huge issue with the two 2wd’s I owned except for getting the S10 stuck on the rear differential at a junkyard
I’m in fields every day, and it’s been wet as fuck lately. So.
I probably left pavement more with my 2wd S10 than with my 4x4 F150 actually. I did go offroading quite a bit with my '89 S10 4x4 though. There used to be a good spot for trucks around the corner until some treehugging Prius drivers made it a nature preserve.
I never washed that POS the whole time I owned it.
You don’t need 4 wheel drive or a pickup truck to go off road. #Truth
What if you took the Tacoma back to stock, sold the parts and used the money from the parts as a down payment to refinance the loan on the truck? Not sure if it would work for ya but you wouldn’t have to shop for a new car.
That’s true, you could put it to stock sell the parts and pay off the the bike and refinance and cut your payment in half and have a brand new truck. That’s not a horrible idea.
I’ve been kicking around the idea of selling my tundra too, but then again I need a truck so I’ll probably just keep it till its paid for and then some.

not for me. I like my tacoma but i like it they way it is now. I hate the way they look stock and i knew that when i was origionally shopping for one. I want a full size so i can tow some more weight, have a larger bed and add a plow if need be.
So after quite a bit of searching i’ve found that an 04-05 ford f150 4x4 supercrew fits my needs and budget for this one. With a little research i’ve found i can get a xlt version with under 100kmi and for under 10k quite easily. When it comes down to it i may spend a little more for the fx4 version, or accept something with slightly higher miles. I’ve never been a big fan of ford trucks but i do like the 04+ body style and are right within my budget.
Anyone want to talk me out of one?
You should be able to talk yourself out of that pretty quick :lol
