Ya what sounds better no job,or getting a small pay cut…hmmmm
agreed
Stock prices dropped 34% before the floor even opened…
If you dont think GM is going under NOW IS THE TIME TO BUY!!!
This is either gonna make some people very rich or throw them to the dogs. Im really considering throwing what money I have left in my “safe” mutual funds into GM…
When it was down to 1.75 last week it shot up to 3.50 in the same day.
I know some people that made some good money for 1 day of work.
I am going to buy GM today. Have you guys really not watched any of the other bailouts close? This is their style. They werent getting EXACTLY what they wanted from UAW and the auto industry so they said “ok fine no $$$$$” They will get bailed out eventually but this is sweet for me since I have been short the market all week.
Im right there with you… Im at the point I have lost so much everywhere else, im about to put everything I got left into them. Hopefully turn it around for a quick buck…
What do you think is a good buy/sell price???
If GM goes bankrupt and you have there stocks dont you lose money? I think the UAW is sort of screwing it up for everyone.
Yes lol… the point is, you’re banking on them not going bankrupt and that their shares which are dirt cheap right now will bounce back to anything.
A 50% increase from $3.00 a share is a quite easy thing to archive as of late.
The unions have been ruining it for everyone else for decades. it wouldn’t surprise me if they strike the day they get the bailout. Most of these guys are boarderline ged-tards. They will find a new way to fuck things up, they always have.
Im going to wait for under $3 but im not going to throw more then a few g’s at it.
damn i was thinking about throwing like $50 bucks!
Two of the big 3 are selling for $2.
Oh noes! My neighbors don’t own domestic cars! I HATE THEM!!!
 Insanity…when is natural selection going to kick in? This is absurd.
I think they’re going under anyway just a matter of time.
eh, what do you expect from a union only forum
edit: some have a point though, it’s sad to see so many people flock to forign companies while ignoring american made goods (walmart, cars, electronics, etc). They (the unions and the automakers) are to blame, but it does show the minset of most americans (more so our parents generation than ours). People want what beneifts them most monitarily, first and foremost
:cky: Uhhhh… yeah
I still don’t understand how you can give away 700 billion with very litter oversight and then scrutinize the auto industry for 25 billion.
They can put forth provisions that would have to be met, whats the problem?
You disagree?
look at the sucess of kmart, walmart, honda, hyundai, ect (I’m not saying that they shouldn’t either… but why would someone pay more for a product with equal or lesser quality than their competition?). Why would anyone buy a ford focus new, that will be worth 5K in 5 years, when they can spend the same on a new civic and sell it for 8K in 5 years?
go back 40+ years and a majority of our crap was made here (when was the last time you saw a zenith tv?) and more people supported american made products. It was this, along with bone head political moves, that drove a lot of those industries either out of business or overseas
because they all had their pockets full… they wanted to clean that mess up as fast as they could
Point haha.
Some do bring up some good points, but they’re few and far between. The people that don’t buy domestic, BECAUSE they’re domestic, are just as bad.
