I’m looking at this car today and I am just looking for some input. It is a silver 4 dr sedan. It has 32k on it. Needs 4 tires, but is in great shape. It had front end damage that the seller has pictures of…they are a collision shop. Everything has been fixed and it looks great.
He is asking $10,500, but I know that he will have to replace the 4 tires.
I know KBB doesn’t mean much, but it calls for $13,900 on a clean title for retail sale on a clean title. How much should a salvage affect the price of this sale?
i’m never really too keen on buying salvage. the car probably is fine, but it’s a pain in the ass trying to resell them and you never know just how bad the accident was. If you can get it more for the 9k range it would be a decent deal.
Thats what i was thinking. $9,500 is what I would settle on, with the 4 tires replaced. I don’t mind the salvaged title. I take care of my cars and I try to keep them for a long time. I heard these run well and will last me a while. I need something good on gas, reliable but still a little sporty. The AWD 5 speed is something I have never owned and I bet its a blast in the winter.
A while back, I bought my first Ranger with 5500 miles on it w/ a salvaged title. I ran it until it hit 212k.
I might as well keep it all in this thread…I also test drove a 2007 Legacy today w/ 49k on it. Who can chime in on financing options…I’m hoping to find a term longer than 60 mos. if possible, but I’ll take what I can get. The bank is going to do what they want but any opinions?
Why wouldn’t they give you full coverage? I just checked while I was at the Subaru dealership and it came back at a decent price through my insurance and I don’t have a squeaky clean driver record by any means…
ohhhhh yeah im off the salvage title, but yeah they wouldnt do it as an auto loan. I was doing personal loan, but have since switched for rate savings. I’m pretty sure I have it narrowed down to 2 Legacy’s and an Impreza wagon. This is going to be tough.
