Was being able to EDIT ever an option here on SON? Why was it removed?
I think it would make a great tool to have, and shorten alot fo these threads by simply being able to EDIT posts.

there is an edit option. look at the bottom right corner of your post.
Is it only for Registered users?
I think we should all have that option…
Also, be able to use EDIT in all area’s of the forum.
maybe its a bit of a glitch, i know i can use it but they have disabled it from use in the classifieds to stop people changing around their posts and scamming/being dishonest

I think that if that where the case that the PAID MEMBERS should still be able to edit classifieds etc…
Could be a glitch, if so im sure they will fix it…

the nuts and bolts of this is that several members deceived others through the classifieds or made accusations in other threads and then went back and removed the original “evidence” of their sales or claims.
as a result, we were forced to remove the edit function.
i know that it is a nuisance for many, i too am a bit inconvenienced by it when searching through the classifieds and seeing how difficult it is for people to update their threads and keep them accurate. But at the end of the day people have gotten used to it and we havent had any similar issues of deception since. Though, some of the credit should go to the banning of certain users, not just the fact that all of your posted content is etched in stone.
