Anyone know if there were differences between the sizes of the throttle bodies (the butterfly valve part) between the SRs, KAs, CAs etc?
A buddy of mine has a Plymouth Acclaim and he went junk yard hunting and went from a 46mm to a 56mm TB…

KA is bigger than the CA one IIRC. I don’t know about SR
KA is 60mm
CA is smaller … 48 I think?
SR IIRC is 50 or 55mm?
Vgs are also 55mm I think
KAs still have the biggest
I guess if I find one cheap off a parts car it’d help intake a little better?
Would it really make much of a difference on a forced induction car?
the bigger the better for high end. Paired with upgrading to 3in downpipe and exhaust you will notice a difference
The throttle body will probably not make a noticable difference. If you want to make more power on that CA, put an FMIC on her, and open up the exhaust.
well … it depends on how small the CA DE’s are.
On my ET it was tiny ~40mm
I went to the KA, ported the manifold to match (without doing this, the mod is useless)
But yeah, on my car it was a pretty decent upgrade. Faster throttle response, better spool, and the car did seem to pull in 3rd gear a bit harder.
I just like having everything on the car 2.5"
