is it really made by tial? hmmm i thought the side of the turbo said tities and the title of the thread said SSAC  do you know what these run mikey mike and the funky bunch

Yes Tial makes the turbine housings. I’ll PM you a price.

damn dude, that would solve so many problems.

mike, do they make those for precision turbos? how does the A/R and flange size convert?

PSSSH, whatever, I’ll take the whole package… and make it light.

veee bandeeee

These wont be released until January and some mid march. Just got off the phone with our rep at Tial prices are not available and will not be available until mid january. Sorry guys.

Those are so pimp. How much for the whole turbo?

Turbo: If the Precision turbo you’re talking about uses a Garrett cartridge from one of the turbos I listed, then yes. That’s all they have so far, but they plan on expanding this line in the future.

I’m not sure what you mean by converting the a/r since that ratio is measured the same way as usual. I’m guessing you’re asking how a .82 a/r Garrett exhaust housing flows compared to a Tial .82 a/r exhaust housing. Since they don’t post that data your guess is as good as mine. The inlet size on a GT35R turbine housing, for instance is 2.5" (pipe size not vband flange size) and 3" outlet (again pipe size), so that’s pretty comparable.

The SS hot side drops something silly like 16lbs from the turdblows weight.

From the rumor mill :

16 lbs weight reduction for the GT42
10 lbs for the GT30
7 lbs for the GT28

That’s impressive, I had seen the photos before but didnt even think about the weight redux.

wont the SS also help with scavenging and heat retention inside the turbine and technically offer a performance gain?

I saw this back when it was in it’s prototype stages about 6-12 months ago. Bout time they are rolling it out.
