Tie rod end for VR6

Just got a volks passat glx vr6 for my new winter ride and it needs a new tie rod end but every where I look it says the vr6 needs a special end that costs twice as much. http://replacement.autopartswarehouse.com/parts/autopartswarehouse/wizard.jsp?year=1995&make=VW&model=PAS–002&part=Tie%20Rod%20End&dp=true

They all say “except VR6” except the bottom one which is twice as much. Is there really that big of a difference if I got the other one because it says it fits my engine (2.8L 6cyl. glx) just not a VR6, but aren’t all 6cyl. volks considered VR6?

Vr6 uses a Passat saspention, the Balljoint, tie rods, someother stuff is diffrent (hevy duty)

And no VW also makes a 3.0 V6, also Audi uses a 2.8 V6… ONLY the VW Faimaly uses the 15* off Inline 6 known as the VR6 (Passats, GTi’s, Jetta, Eurovan)
