Matt and myself have recently started a TIG welding service.

This service is provided in his garage using my Miller TIG machine. However, the machine is portable and can be transported to your garage/workshop at travel cost.

Examples of Services Offered:

  • Custom piping, Boxing in control arms/toe links, Stitch welding of seams, Repairs requiring welding, Chassis bracing, etc.

Fabrication Material:

All material must be steel. Since my machine is DC only, welding aluminum is not possible.

Also, the thickness of base metal to be welded must not exceed 1/8".

Pricing:

Costs will be very fair considering the type of work and our restricted schedule. Will operate on either an hourly basis, or an agreed fixed cost. Materials cost will be on top of labour. Since Matt and myself both have day jobs/school, the work schedule will mainly be at nights/weekends. Msg me for any specific quotes, I assure you, they will be very reasonable. Trades are also welcome if the item is of particular interest.

I hope this service will be an asset to SON members as an inexpensive source of TIG welding that would otherwise cost a great deal.

Unfortunately you’re going to need to some photos of work before people start paying for your services.

It’s a good idea, but you should be trying to convince the guys who can weld already, thats a good sell for the guys who can’t weld at all.

You guy fix frames? rusted holes ? rust etc.

have u guys seam/ stich welded and entire chassis before? pics? i’d be very interested in that, but i am not sure how to remove the rear uni body of the s14?
