L1 cache in teh P4 and higher end processors is not comparable to the lesser. You get what you pay for. I run a P4 here at work cause its free and 1 Athlon Thunderbird, 1 Celeron, 1 P3 at home because they we’re cheap/free. You can def tell the difference and the numbers you cannot dispute. I would never buy a Celeron or Duron processor unless I was in dire need of a computer. Theres so much more to take into consideration other than the CPU.
my bosses are cool and they don’t do that, but other employees… argh

oracle, sql linking through asp /net, web proxy, san arrays, online replication, fiber channeled backbones for backups and replication, UID transport, scripting backups, email archiving, exchange clustering, numerous migrations, GPO’s, WAN VPN’s, ect. ect.
i deal with all that shit on a daily basis as well as upgrade and deploy 500 computers at a time wtihout sms… so i know scriping and all the stupid bullshit that comew ith it.
