Hey guys,

So im in the market for new tires for the upcoming summer season and id like to get them before i take the car out of storage.

Basically i would like to stimulate the canadian market by buying my tires in Canada. Now ive contacted our tire sponser on son but i havnt heard back and its been about a week or so. So… If anyone on here has tires at discounted prices please PM and or a trusted CANADIAN online website where i can order the tires i want without paying those f****** border fees with ups.

I contacted Samson aka DuckJai which is GB tires. Ill look up Tires23 see if i can get a good price.

Correct sizes are:

205/55R16
225/50R16
245/45R16

Samson has been really busy lately I’m sure if you messages him again he probably just forgot. I personally wouldn’t recommend anyone else

205/55/16 is what i have now, its too much sidewall
225/55/16 once again id like something with less sidewall
245/45/16 would buy in a second for the rear but cant find anything.

I hope samsonite replies to me soon. I dont want to have to order from the states

please elaborate? it would be for the front, two tires i have a staggered set up at the moment

Just so you know, the 3 sizes I posted have pretty much the same sidewall.

When fitting new tires, you want to keep a similar outside diameter.

Stock:

205/60R15 - OD: 627mm

My sizes:

205/55R16 - OD: 632mm (+0.8%)
225/50R16 - OD: 632mm (+0.8%)
245/45R16 - OD: 626mm (-0.2%)

Your sizes:

205/45R16 - OD: 590mm (-5.9%)
215/45R16 - OD: 600 (-4.3%)
225/45R16 - OD: 608mm (-3%)

Get the idea? The tires are way to small.

205/55/16 is factory size on an S14, 205/65/15 is factory size on an S13…

205/45/16 is a mega low profile for an S-chassis…

if this is going on an S13 then that tire is 2.19" shorter in overall diameter…

that is a MAJOR difference…

if you want a shorter profile get a bigger wheel… and 205 is totally gay as well…

i run a 245/45/17 on the front of an S13 as an FYI… should go with a 245/40 but it isnt available in this tire… that’s 2.38" taller than what you want to run.

if you’re running a 16" wheel you should look at a 225/50/16 and forget your preference for a shorter profile.

Stock S13 is 195/60R15 or 205/60R15 depending on year and trim.

I’d recommend looking into 205/50/16 and 225/50/16 if you want something meaty and low profile.

16" tires don’t usually come in 40-45 sidewall…if they do it’s $$
