TMP/Cayuga Wednesday, September 13th

Dan and I think Phil were talking at the meet last night about hitting up Cayuga one last time this season. I spoke to Dan about it today and decided on a date. SO…

Wednesday, September 13th

Gates Open at 6:30PM
Track Open From 7:00PM - 11:00PM
Cost: $20 To Drive, $10 to Spectate (Both paid at the gates)

We can set up a convoy if people want, or we can just drive separately… Doesn’t matter.

Last time we went on a Wednesday we got 9 runs in and were only there for 2 out of the 4 hours. That included a small break to go over the car between each run, and a 20+ minute food break.

PS - Don’t worry too much about the Helmet and Battery rules.

Last time we went I was with Hurricane and he has his battery in the trunk and no helmet. The guy that did the tech inspection popped his hood and after a minute or so of poking around he said, “looks good, is this thing front or rear wheel drive”

Then he proceeded to do mid-high 13 second passes with no helmet any nobody said anything.

I did a 12.7 with no helmet and got my ass chewed out…

I’ll be there for ths one.

I’ll be there…this time with two good motor mounts :stuck_out_tongue:

You know you posted a drag day meet thread on a 240sx board when there’s a drift day at the exact same location posted at almost the exact same time and the drift day thread gets more than double the responses instantly

Freakin drift junkies

This sounds like a good idea…

I’ll try and make this one.

Man… I can’t beleive how dead this thread is…

Come on big talkers! Lets see you out for this event!

Its also a good way to gauge how well you motor is running… don’t be afraid to come out! Last time I was there I lined up against an 89 dodge caravan.

Did you win?

Last time I was there I kept getting lined up with hondas on slicks.

I’ll try to make it out, but I might still be busy with moving etc.

Phil I’m sure you can spare 4 hours of a wednesday night for some track time… come onnnnnnnn ;]

Yea! Try for sure!

I got lined up against one civic on slicks… those cars sure do look funny with slicks on in the rear view mirror.

haha drag civic = pwnt by stock sr

Anybody have any slicks or drag radials for me to borrow?

I want to go but don’t really want to shell out $600 a this point in the season.

EDIT - I’m a complete idiot. I just remembered I’m actually in Edmonton next week on business. I fly out on Wednesday the 13th and am not back until the following Monday.

I guess I don’t need slicks after all. doh!

john - if you still aren’t getting any responce fro next Wednesday…maybe push it back a few weeks so I can come.

What the hell! We set this up for you!

haha, a week later is better for me too.

What do the rest of you think? push it back a week or no?

last time i went , the guy doing the inspection almost didnt let me or my friend run coz our battery wasnt properly secured . we finally used some Zip ties and bungee cords to secure the battery’s down . Just make sure that ur battery , wherever it is placed doesnt move and you should be ok.

theres an event on the 22-23 , they usually close the track a few days before.

They also give you a hard time if your battery is relocated to the trunk without a kill switch.

^^ dustins is and no kill switch. they didnt give him any problems.

I guess it depends who does the tech inspection.
