Well, is it indiscriminate or just at one person? If it’s some kind of Virginia Tech shooter that’s going crazy, I have nothing to lose, so I’d try to stop him. If he walks in, pops some guy in the head, and goes to leave, I’ll probably leave him alone.
At that point, it’s all self-preservation.

The kind of people who go on shooting rampages often are from extremely abusive families of just do it to seek revenge on innocent people.

This usually happens because when the shooter was younger they were probably abused Why would the shooter act on the innocent? the shooter was innocent when they was abused during their childhood. So he would want to harm innocent people to cope with what happened to them.
