like shit
I’m hoping that you don’t do it. It’s to much for that beautiful car.
Nay.
It’ll look like a toy with the wing
like others said…if you can keep it low by cutting down on the supports i think you could pull it off
:word: Leave it as is, that type of car looks good without cheezy spoilers
fixed…
but i say…do it up, just make sure it’s low like in the pic of the black one…
low is the way to go
(or not at all)
I say do it. No doubt. Just play with the bracketing options first…
No to wing
lets say i did do it. should it be black or body color? It has white paint on the top now, so i cannot use raw CF. Also, I think the endplates should be rounder, like the exige i posted. I may mock up some cardboard endplates and some rudimentary brackets to get a visual…
It can have black on it the carr has alot of black accents so it will fit right on with the “theme”
agreed… that first pic you posted looked pretty good imo (the black one)… I dont like that raised look though
That Exige makes your Lotus look like shit… On the Exige it looks HOTT, not so much on yours. The spoiler needs to be lower on yours if you are going to do it or it willl look stupid…
agreed.
you say you’re doing it for function as well… how will you be testing aerodynamics to determine if you’re hurting or helping? Going 120mph+ and looking in the rearview mirror isn’t the correct answer either.
also, i’m not to sure the exiege you posted is really that low of a spoiler as everybody thinks, i think the angle the picture was taking at is deceiving.
i was goint to put laminat pressure sensors underneath the wing and adjust accordingly…
so wait, how many pairs of shoes do you own exactly?? lol
anyhow, if you were going to do it (not that i’m saying you should) you should definitely paint it body color.
edit: btw you may want to invest in a broom and vacuum cleaner…

Looks good as low as possible on the body, and the posts positioned as far out as possible. You know how the STi Spoiler has the posts (I know its not an aluminum/CF spoiler) on the wing itself, and pulls off the look well.
The black Elise (Exige is it?) pulls off the look very well as well… those red ones look dumb (generated chop ins :P) because they are so tall off the body and the angle of the wing is steep.
The best you want is a very natural look. One that flows off the body. Since the body shape is very low and curved, you will want the most lowest spoiler that is curved. . . only thing, doesn’t the Elise have a natural spoiler already? Seems awkward to have a spoiler on-top of a spoiler
^^ hehe and this is coming from the big spoiler fan
try it.
just dont bolt it down unless you like it?
