I understand the ka24 and sr20 run side feed injectors which can be relatively expensive to upgrade.
Is there a company that makes top feed fuel rails for these motors?
I have a friend who makes me rails for the supras, gonna try and see if he can do something for the 240 community, but i just want to know if its possible.
Both big name companies and custom shops make rails for these motors. There is alot to choose from. The top feed injectors you can use will depend on your rail though since top feed injectors vary in size.
I used a sard fuel rail with precision turbo injectors, perfect fit.
it can be done
i mean its shorter then the mkiv or mk3 supra rails, so it will be relatively cheaper.
I think i’m gonna get my hands on a intake mani or head with a rail and do the mock ups.
Do the injectors sit in the manifold? or the head?
The only thing I can see that you would need to know is distance between injectors on the manifold so you can drill your holes on the rail accordingly.
You still wouldn’t need a manifold for that. You would just have to drill that rail out to whatever size the top ring of the injector you plan on using is. I believe most top feeds come in three different sizes. Domestic (msd style), sport compact (rc’s etc) and I believe dsm/mitsubishi has a different size top feed.
