The left hinge on my laptop broke the other day. I finally have it taken apart, but am having trouble finding the hinges. The one place I’ve found online is selling them for $50 each, and there’s no way I’m paying $100 to fix this pile. So, my other thought is to have someone weld the hinges. Does anyone know what they’re made of and if welding them is even possible?
Or any suggestions on where to find hinges at a decent price would be greatly appreciated.
Super glue would never touch these, they have to be able to withstand a decent amount of torque. I just pulled out the JB Weld, waiting for it to cure. Should be able to test it around 6 tomorrow night.
I waited for the jb weld to set and tried it. It snapped right off, so my only other option is to have it welded. Seeing if I can track down someone to do it now.
