towing an auto 240

watch out now!

dam, but if they tow your car, they are sapost to use the wheel dollie on your drive wheels

Ouch, man thats weak. It that kind of senerio or in any that that towing truck causes damage is the tow driver responsible for damages?

Yes the tow truck drive is responsible, he is surpost to do his job right

TIME FOR A SR

might sound n00b… but… wouldn’t putting the car in neutral do the job right… other than dolleys? if u were to tow from rear wheels?

oh man, I almost threw up.

u’ll still fxxk up the tranny
cuz if if u put in neutral
some shafts inside teh tranny will still spins along w/ the drive shaft…

so whats wrong with that ? when you put it in neutral in an auto and coast down the hill on teh highway it doesnt kill it… i dont understand how it will mess up to put it in neutral… but honestly i’d rather have them tow the car with a dolly…

what if you have your handbrake up and they dont have a dolly and your car is too low ? do they still drag the bumper on the ground and grind your wheels to shit ? fags… i hate some tow truck drivers

That’s why I wouldn’t use anything but a flat bed. …The only crapy thing about a flat bed I always have to have wood in back of my car so I don’t scrape LOL.

Teehee, sorry John, couldn’t resist.

Teehee, sorry Theo but everytime I needed a tow truck is when I had my KA.

…I spit in the face of people who don’t want to have an SR!!!

I have put on close to 200’000 kms on 240’s and have only needed a tow truck when it has been the cars last trip while in my ownership (ie: getting hit by people or offroadong waaay too fast and wrecking).

You just wait

I have only needed a tow truck three times in the 5 years that I have owned my car, once was from Mosport to Toronto when I blew my clutch on the track and the other was from Mississauga to my house when my fuel pump craped out and the other was from Oakville to the shop when my timing chain tentioner pulley broke.

All other times I had problems with my car I somehow managed to drive my car home and fix it my self like the time my power stering craped out I drove from Oshowa to my house with no power steering but that wasn’t a big problem.
The best was when I drove from Niagara falls to my house with only the hand brake because my master cylinder craped out and all the brake fluid would leak right out as soon as I would apply the brakes LOL yeah that was an adventure especially when I got stuck in traffic and it was stop go stop go  Good times, good times.
