Train Derailment?

Officials respond to alleged train derailment at the Frontier Rail-Yard

Buffalo, New York - Buffalo hazmat, firefighters, police and ambulance crews were all called into action for an alleged train derailment at the Frontier Rail-Yard.

The initial call went out about 2 a.m. that there was a derailment with radioactive material leaking from a rail car belonging to the Department of Defense. All the emergency crews rushed to the scene, set up staging areas and started blocking off roads, minutes later they all broke down. It turned out to be a false call.

Sources tell us one rail car jumped the tracks just a bit and crews were able to put it back on the tracks. As far as the Department of Defense, the person who spotted the rail car read the wrong information on the car

anyone know anything about this?

people should really learn how to read. it’s kind of important when it’s the difference between radioactive material and NOT. :c P

edit: yeah. I heard about it this morning on NPR. just another “oops”… a minor thing that got blown out of proportion because someone thought there were radioactive substances involved. whoooops.

an expensive fucking opps no less…

its an opps, but its better that it wasnt the other way around. its good to see that we have competent fire/police/whomever to take care of the situation quickly should it happen.
