Trans-Europe camping trip... in a 1926 Bentley

Pretty interesting read about a Brit who travels around Europe, hitting up campgrounds in a very old Bentley!

Anyone else take their vintage cars on road trips like this?

I’m surprised that car could last more than a week straight on the road

shouldn’t be bing. At one time they were daily driven cars. With updated electricals they can be somewhat reliable.
Nice share.

I’d rather be in the Porsche

Hell no. In the Porsche that’s a grocery run. In the Bentley that’s an experience you’ll tell your grandkids about.

“Kids, it was the most uncomfortable trip EVER.”

^Ha!

my dad built a back seat between the shock towers of his 71 240z so my sister and I could go to the Watkins Glen vintage event every year (~3.5 hour backroad cruise). We went to Kingston, ON for a Z convention as well as Cleveland, and those were pretty fun/nervous trips. Needed a slave cyl in Cleveland, lucky some racers had a spare and were staying in a cottage with a nice garage.

(his is the gunmetal one red one is mine)

And that was before the rain!

Still, I’d get there in the Bentley, and do the relaxing drive home in the 911.
