Travis, you do not build anything for Skip Barber. The Skippy Dodges you’re talking about are not even in the same ball park as the ALMS cars you claim them do be. You dont know what you’re talking about.
kthxbye.
i built fuckin racecars for skip barber you moron… 1200lb carbon fiber and fiberglass bodied ALMS cars that would walk anything you decided to try and “fabricate”… (i still call it cobbing.) i purchase parts and install them because companies that make these products do this little thing called RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT… they know what works and what doesnt. grow up… u do not know everything.
Oh comon guys, let Travis think he’s got all this great experience and is better than most everyone else (mostly because of the car he drives). It at least gives us something to laugh at.
I wasn’t going to say anything before, but since you did I am going to agree.
If you did work for Skip Barber, where exactly did you work, who did you work with and what did you do? How long were you there? I have a few friends who raced the skip barber circuit that year and I’m sure could verify names and places you list.
And where the fuck is Tom? He’s lived at race tracks for the last decade, I’m sure he could confirm or deny the claims made.
i lived and worked in lakeville,Ct. at skip barbers home facility… my house was directly across the street from the limerock east gate. i worked there over winterof 2005… (november through february) so i did not work any races. we received in the cars from laguna, road atlanta, etc dismantled them and reassembled them. each shop tech was assigned a car… dismantled by them and reassembled as long as the chassis passed inspection (with new motors, new bolts, etc). i also worked in the CRD dept (component rebuild department) during down time… disecting brake calipers, cleaning the caliper itself, removing the seals and piston, then reassembling them all, for every single one of their limerock cars for the 05 season. ALSO i went with them to pick up the new sponsored cars alotted by dodge to skips school… the neons, dakota r/t’s, magnums, and my personal favorite the new vipers.
