TV Antenna Removal - Question

Anyone have this done? Anyone do the removal?

I see there are a butt-load of places that will do it for free because they sell the scrap metal… any chance of actually getting paid to have someone come and remove it?

we have a big useless tv antenna and i’m about to start e-mailing but every site or kjijiji ad is obviously some 45 year old foreigner who just got the internet and never learned ‘quick as zoe, what stops x-rays…’

btw, even dogs cant.

im thinking getting a service that is insured is pretty important.

might want to make a post here -----> http://www.remotecentral.com/cgi-bin/mboard/rc-sat/list.cgi

Just get up there with a sawzaw and take care of business! Or you could run some coax to it, and get some free HD channels!

Seriously though, just sawzaw the tripod off where it meets your roof. Trying to unbolt the tared up feet is never a good idea unless your gonna redo the roof. Tie a rope to it, cut it and lower it down. Easy enough.

Depending upon the freq range and if it has a amplifier installed in it. The ham radio guys would want it.

If it is bolted to the roof, make sure you seal that roof up good. I had a roof leak when the previous owner had a shitty directv contractor go up there and not seal their roof mount correctly.

Bing’s antennae could be used to help the SETI project it’s so big, lol.

its not really attached to the roof, i looked today. just has a couple u-joints affixing it up there.

i’ll get in touch with a kijiji random this week.

i like to destroy shit, i mean remove properly

Bing this is the one that looks like a radio tower right?
