I think the lamp on my tv is going bad. The TV keeps flickering and dimming.
Where should i go to buy the lamp? There seem to be a lot of online retailers that sell aftermarket ones. Not sure how I feel about those though.
Is there anything I need to look for with these?
I saw one place that was selling the map with the housing, is that the way to go?
I bought an aftermarket one online for my TV a couple months ago and no problems. Extremely easy to install too.

I have a sony lcos, similar lamp setup.
I’ve had oem replacements, and one cheaper kit, bulb only, that requires you reuse your old housing. They seem the same but I can’t say about longevity. Brightness, etc seems the same and no flickering or anything.
Next time I’ll definitely just get the bulb again, $80 vs $199…I agree see about their warranty policies. I remember the “aftermarket” bulbs had about the same policy as sony.
