Our oldest son J is going to get tested for his allergies in 2 weeks. My fear of this, is I think the family dog Maxwell my be one of his allergies. If the results prove to be that Max is a problem then we will need to find him a new/safe home.

About Max:
Real Name: Maxwell Copperbottompot
Black Lab Mix (will be medium build when full grown)
Neudered and had all shots
Has TONS of energy and LOVES to run
Is great w/ Kids (Our kids are 6 and 2)
House Broke

If you would be spending alot of time away from home (like 5-6 hours) Max is not the dog for you. He likes companionship. He would be a great addition for a family with a stay-at-home mom like myself or a stay-at-home dad.

If you wuld be interested please let me know…BUT REMEMBER THIS IS NOT SET IN STONE YET…

my girlfriend will probably take him if you have to give him away.
their dog passed away a few months back, and it was a lab mix too.
her mom stays at home, and her sister works at valu… and gets like 20 hours a week…
so plenty of love ;]

Any idea how he is with other animals?
they have 3 cats.

We rescued Max from a kill shelter in Ohio…

He is a little energetic with cats, we have one and she stays upstairs and Max stays downstairs, they have a mutual agreement.

he also stays in the yard when off the run … he will stick with you and play …

But then again hopefully 4door can keep him, because I know how much it sucks losing a family pet :[

HE IS NOT A GINGER!!! And I had him before I got married so he is actually the first man in my life, so if anyone goes it’s hubby!!

I will keep everyone updated…I hope we don’t have to get rid of him, but if we do I am glad to have some many great families interested in him.

One thing I forgot to mention is that because Max came from a shelter he came with worms. He has been treated and cleared, but does need to take 1 pill once a month to keep him healthy. He takes Interceptor to control this. Each pill costs $7 (at our vet anyhow) IT IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT HE TAKES THIS, IF HE DOESN’T HE COULD GET HEART WORMS AND DIE. IF YOU DON’T WANT THIS EXPENSE PLEASE DON’T OFFER TO TAKE HIM.

these dogs are also extremely intelligent. More Intelligent than half the users on this board including myself :stuck_out_tongue:
