TW: Looking for storage space

Well, my progress on my house is going nicely and I have a bunch (3 currently, possibly another 2 as of tomorrow) interviews for jobs in Raleigh NC… sadly my Firebird is no where’s near running condition and I have no place to put it…

I’ve been looking into self-storage places, but for a 10x20 area most want $120/mo; I was wondering if anyone here has any hookups or storage places they know of that are cheaper? I’m looking to basically roll the car off the trailor I have, put a cover over it, and leave it for 12 months give or take a couple months; basically until I get settled down there, get some bills paid down, and can rent a shop down there and then bring the car down and put it back together.

i can get you garage storage with 24 hour access for like 300-350/year.

Cool, I’ll probably get a hold of you when it’s ready to be put away.

Any problems with it not moving under it’s own power? It’s on 4 wheels and rolls freely, just no engine/tranny.

Some of the self-storage places will require that you have insurance on the vehicle, be sure to ask that beforehand if you go that route.

I was probably going to put comp back on it anyways, because right now my Homeowners covers it, but once I no longer own a home…

There is a storage place behind AAMCO transmission on Union, they have cheap rates, and have no issues on storing without insurance or registration even in the outdoor lots in back. Can’t remember the name off hand, but the rates were cheaper than most other places.

It’s not going to be outdoors… Indoor storage ONLY!!!
