One of my frat brothers down in the city has a turbo s2000… wickeddd fun car.
My s2k blows me away with how fun it is and it’s mostly stock. I can’t imagine how fun FI is in this car. Since you have an AP1, you could purchase an 04+ diff carrier and housing if you start to hear clunking from the rear (sign of coming failure). AP2 diff housing has better oiling and a little more enforcement.
The s2k diff is actually shared with Mazda who have used it on both MX5s (weaker pumpkin but similar internals) and RX7s (near identical).
i know the FC TII diff can take a decent amount of abuse, plus they’re not that expensive

Yes, the diff is the weak point. Ap2 is better than ap1 but not that much better. There are options for this, contact hardtopguy.com.
Did you upgrade the clutch? If so, that puts your diff at a higher risk. Moves the weak link down to the diff. If you’re doing the turbo do the diff. Supporting mods exist for a reason. Its an issue that should be solved especially if you went with an aftermarket clutch.
Im sure he went with a clutch theres no way a stock s2000 cluctch is going to hold 450-500whp LOL
Yeah, I figured much but didnt want to assume, but its even more of a reason for him to upgrade the diff… its going to push the weak point down to the diff which is already weak and cause major issues.
Cant wait to see this thing hitting the streets this summer and blowing by me lol
The diff upgrade us over 3000 dollars so it’s not such a quick decision to make.
