Car - 98 Jeep Cherokee
U-joint in the front axle is shot. I can dissassemble everything and remove the axle fine.
Is relacing the u-joint something that can be done on my own with standard tools? or does it need to go to a shop?
And if the latter, can anyone recommend a good shop? (preferrably in the southtowns.

They’re really not that bad to do. You’ll need a BJ press to make it easier
Mind me asking, but what is a BJ press?
Gotcha. Does anyone know where I can find a write up on how to do it? I’ve got the axle out, and everything. Just need to replace the U-Joint and I’m good to go.
just take the lock rings out like usual???

I’ve always just worked on car’s with CV joints. I’ve never dealt with U-Joints before.
Is it safe to say that this is a good Write-up on what to do?
