yea, you seemed to go for more power, and then take it back again the last 2 years. were you getting traction problems?
Good observation boys.
My favorite setup(s) were my most recent. I really like GT2871R 0.64 setups simply because they still make amazing power with minimal lag. Responsive setups, in my experience, are far more fun.
2871r .86 danno
dont upset Pants… Just dont do it
Nah - the .86 was a little sleepy… I even had mine externally gated on a full-race manifold bottom mount.
mine aint sleepy at all
the powerband snaps on hard, might be the custom Pants IC setup tho
Im sure your new favorite set up will be NA foot mashing power with no lag what so ever !
The reason why it feels like it snaps on hard is…because…you’re waiting for it to make power.
As for your IC setup - don’t think so.
I better see this thing make a pass down the 1/4 mile.
Where do the sikky mounts place the engine? I haven’t see a single mount setup for an LS1 in a 240 yet that I like…
Can you get the tranny off to do a clutch change with out removing the whole assembly?
i thought ud say that… its true especially for a street car.good luck on the new project!
jealousy is a motherfcker… but really good on you this will be a beast yet again…
you know i really look forward to the outcome of your project. You are going to use the vipec and a custom harness on this too right?
I could I guess bring it to you guys when I decide to do my ls swap
Are you going with a dry sump? My biggest concern is safety/reliability when I do my build won’t be looking for more than the initial stock 350whp power… although I know with better flowing items 450whp is achievable on pump gas…
If you are going to run a dry sump, what do you have in mind?
Keep it up Winter sucks lol
Nah, not dry sump. Would love to but it’s really a cost thing at this point. A decent dry sump setup is almost the cost of the enitre swap. I’m not doing any competitve driving so at this point it’s more cost effective just to loose motors.
I’ve been collecting parts over the last month…will start to bild in the next week or so.
Below is a Z06 intake manifold nad Ported 75mm throttlebody.
Here is a side-by-side of stock vs. ported TB. You can see how much material has been removed.
who does this sort of throttle body work? where?
im jealous keep it up
This isn’t running yet?
Signed,
Hypocrite.
the car is still sleeping
You watch your mouth. haha
