ub alumni assemble

I gotta pick one of these 3 courses as a filler this semester. Anyone take any of these that can shine some light on them.

GEO101
COM101
CSE101

Looking for the easiest one so it be a nice GPA booster. Basically probably between communications or computer science as both those are in the main campus area.

com101 is easy as long as you take the notes and look over them before the test. pretty brainless class. notes are just print out/fill in the blanks. didn’t take the others listed. i just took com101 in my last semester as a filler as well. it’s a lot like any other psych, soc, or behavior class

I was in the com101 class with turbo, i agree that its pretty brainless, in fact to the point of not being able to stay awake. I hardly ever showed up and got a good grade. You have to complete 5 hours of research credit, which is a joke because in the last week of the class they give you a bunch of 10 min online surveys to complete. I took geo101 my freshman year, was at least somewhat interesting. The professor i had would just show slides of the places around the world he had visited.

lol @ carefully selecting the easiest 101 class. I’m pretty sure if you can wipe your ass without forgetting the toilet paper you’ll be OK in any of them.

I took com101 and it’s full of hot chixxx

Geo with Bennett was great. However the second one I took with someone else sucked

i’d prefer GEO

geo101 was awesome, one of my fav intro courses I took there!

I took CSE101 about 5 years ago, and without being too computer literate, got an A.

My vote would be cse101, retarded simple, no need to take notes or study. GEO101 requires notes and studying, IMO. Never took COM anything because COM is the biggest bullshit degree ever and I refused to associate with any of it.

With that said, I totally thought this was going to be a bitch session about people calling for alumni donations… I feel that is a more interesting topic, lets take it in that direction.

I can’t get those fuckers to leave me alone. So far my best tactic so far has been to pledge and make them send me a pledge card to mail in a check and refuse to do credit card on the phone. Then I never send the check.

anyone else have some good tactics to minimize the call down to once a year?

Even worse is the tactic that the school of management takes to get donations, they first disguise the call as being interested in your career, as if it is a student trying to learn how your degree panned out. What they are really doing is verifying if you landed a good job and are financially secure, then they hit you up for money. Tought to get out of that one. Avoid that call like the plague, if they ask you about your career say you’ve been unemployed for the last year.

lol

I took that class with Bennett many moons ago… easy and interesting class

Bill Greiner died. :frowning:

It all depends on what naturally comes easier to you. I took GEO101 and thought it was easy. I took CSE101 AFTER taking CSE115, lol. The difference was with GEO101 I had to go to class because tests were based off of the lectures. I only went to the test days and spotty days here-n-there for CSE101 because I already knew most of what was taught.

Well now its down to geo101 or com101 becuase I just relealized the recitation for cse will work w/ my schedule.

this is geo w/ Christian Renschler

com would be with Brian Reynolds

geo101 was a joke, got an A, everyone in the class just cheated off one another in the exams, all multiple choice

I had Brian Reynolds, if you want a total non thinking filler class just take COM.

CSE101 might involve doing actual work depending on who’s teaching it. It’s a shit class that they assign as punishment to the instructors.

But, COM101 will be full of chicks. This is my vote.

I told Canisius that I am against their efforts to ruin Quad Party and would not be donating any money until they allow it to return to its original greatness.
