UFC Tonight Ortiz vs Griffin

Is there anywhere online I can watch the fight for free?

Josh Koscheck is fighting on that card tonight too. He’s from Buffalo.

Is working.

For now…

I found one. Thanks guys.

Good fight tonight.

Tito really threw in the towel in the 3rd round. his ground and pound was pretty good making forrest a bloody mess. but props to forrest for not letting up and taking the fight. The comments at the end of the fight with tito/forrest/the crowd booing was interesting.

Forrest was solid.

I’m always working every fight night. the turn out is getting bigger and bigger every time.

Does Tito just want everyone to hate him?
Dana can not be happy with the comments, cracked skull?

I would expect a comment from the UFC in regards to his medical clearance

On the MMA forum I’m on we started an official “Tito Excuses Thread” before the fight. People guessed brain injuries and injured during training camp, but NO ONE saw this “cracked skull” bullshit coming. What an unreal excuse, hahaha.

Apparently a cracked skull makes you gass and have low tier striking skills?

Man I’m glad Lil Nog is in the UFC finally. That guy’s the MAN. His fight with Shogun back in the day was one of the best ever. He schooled Cane like it was his job (which it is).

And I’m glad the Anthony “Rumble” Johnson hype train is finally derailed, Koscheck got the best of him standing and on the ground.

Ortiz is a little baby. His shirt at the end “Run forest Run” Are you kidding me???

Koscheck was very impressive!!!

Impressive? Two intentional eye gouges? Did you even watch the replays of them. Purposeful open handed “punch” with fingers pointed straight at the eyes.

Not to mention his wonderful acting performance in the first round. Yes the knee was illegal (still arguable as he was never hit in the head, the arm is technically the body) but koscheck’s arm blocked the entire knee and he got hit with his own arm. No knee ever touched his eye and he cried like a little bitch for 5 minutes. Let me know when your forearm can gouge your eye.

Go watch the replays. Koscheck is a bitch and I lost all respect for him as a fighter.

The replays of Koscheck getting hit were shown from the wrong times and portrayed him badly, they showed the knee in action. It looked like when Johnson was setting it up, Johnson grabbed Koscheck’s head, he thumbed in the left eye, unintentionally while throwing an intentional illegal knee. I think that’s why he favored the left eye, over the right eye which you could see Johnson’s hand scrape after the knee.

Given the win bonus, the hard work put in training to get there, I’d have milked the time to and tried to win the extra cash.

You’re ignorant. Koscheck got poked in the eye right before the knee, then grazed immediately afterwards. It was the most blatantly illegal thing I’ve seen since Marquardt vs Leites. That would have been a straightup DQ win for Koscheck, not even a no contest. He didn’t have to continue at all. And the doctor told the ref: “He cannot go on like this.”

And he had a bump on his head from where the knee hit, it hit his arm first but then it went right into his head. Did you not hear it?

And I don’t know if you’ve ever fought, but when a guy has a reach advantage on you like Rumble had on Koscheck, having one eye swollen up is a HUGE disadvantage. You lose all depth perception.

And give me a break, Kos was schooling Rumble in the standup anyway. Rumble landed maybe two decent jabs, Kos landed 1-2 solid hits every single exchange.

And the eye poke to Rumble was unintentional. Grapplers like BJ Penn and Koscheck (and GSP, and Fitch, and Lesnar, and everyone) tend to gauge distance with their hands out like that. Rumble basically headbutted his fucking hand with his eye, then he got clipped hard to the temple, and decided HE wanted recovery time so he milked it.

edit: the knee was ARGUABLY illegal? Kos had BOTH KNEES on the ground and one hand. You think Johnson was aiming to knee his arm? You’re the type of fan MMA doesn’t need.

Then he grazed his eye right after the knee too.

Well I can admit I never saw that replay or pic that is shown above so I can concede to that.
It doesn’t matter where you are aiming, it matters where you hit, he hit him in the arm. If you looked at koschecks eye the whole time there was no redness, no swelling, no tearing up and the SECOND they started the round again his eye was WIDE open and not blinking at all anymore. Sorry but eye pokes don’t just go away and all a sudden you don’t have to blink anymore.

I hardly saw koscheck winning the standup, they were pretty even with Johnson getting it more in the way of leg kicks. It was obvious he wanted no part of his standup right before the knee incident happened. Hence why koscheck started shooting for takedowns. He had an opponent that was just as fast if not faster than himself.

And actually I just watched it again and that cap is from a good bit before the knee happened, you can see koschecks right foot planted, not his knee down like when the knee actually happened. That pic is from about 10 seconds before the knee and he wasn’t complaining at all about his eye at that point. Plus that GIF never shows johnson even touching the left side of koschecks face, that is all near the nose and right side, nothing that was ever complained about.

Go to 11:27 and show me a bump on his head? I don’t see one, the knee at most just grazed the right side of his head, he got hit full flush with his own arm.

The first eye poke on the part of koscheck definitely looked unintentional as he was pawing and gauging distance like you said, but the 2nd one he was in the middle of a great combination with no need to gauge his distance at this point nor check a punch with his hand as Johnson wasn’t really throwing much back in return to that combo and just stuck his fingers in his eyes.

Ya the replay basically showed koscheck not getting much if any damage from the knee which shouldnt have been thrown… but after koscheck poked him in the eye twice i kinda felt bad and wanted johnson to win… i read on yahoo johnson was poked in the eye in a past fight and had to have surgery before, that his eye is sensitive now so idk… Happy forrest won!!!

EDIT: seen at the Ave, always a good time everytime i go!

You’re crazy if you think this first bolded part is true. Rumble intentionally tried to knee a downed opponent in the skull, and he suceeded, but Kos was able to block some of it. Rumble has never been in an organization where you can knee a downed opponent and it was clearly illegal, most likely he was frustrated from losing the standup, like when AA when for the knee against Fedor.

Kos got poked in the eye in that combo and then in the same eye again right after the knee. The doctor said he cannot go on and the eye was completely swollen.

I was poked hard in the eye in my last jiu jitsu tournament, in the first round of my first fight, and the swelling DOES go away quickly. Probably 2-3 minutes I was fully recovered.

And you’re blind if you think Rumble was doing anything in that standup. When the fight metric comes out you’ll see. But until then understand that Kos has zero medical suspension and Rumble is out until the end of the year from jawbone bruising, cuts, and choking trauma.

Sure Johnson landed a couple of kicks, but did you see Alves vs Kos? Alves’ kicks are 5x harder than Rumble’s and they did no visible damage to Kos after 3 rounds. Rumble did not offer anything to Kos standing up at all.

If you’re aiming for someone’s head with an illegal knee and you happen to hit them in the chest, it’s not an illegal knee anymore. Point of contact is what makes it illegal.

And Rumble was waiting that whole time to throw the knee because up until 2 seconds before that knee happened Koscheck had both feet planted and was trying to stand, so in my eyes, Rumble wasn’t thinking quick enough and assumed Koscheck still had both feet planted rather than dropping to his knees like he actually did. I HIGHLY doubt Rumble purposefully kneed him while he was down especially since you said yourself, he has never been in an organization where it is allowed, so it is not a habitual move for him.

He was not poked in the eye before OR after the knee, watch the replays, and watch that GIF up there, there is not contact with his left eye. The ONLY arguable eye gouge is whether Johnson’s pinky swiped Kos’ right eye after the headswipe. No fingers touched the left eye, in fact because Kos blocked the knee, his own arm was covering his left eye.

As the GIF shows, the fingers before the knee swipe across his nose and the right cheek, not the left eye.

There wasn’t any swelling even 10 seconds after, you see his face in the video his eye isn’t even red or tearing up.

Of course Rumble has more trauma, his game went to shit after getting poked in both eyes. And yes, you’re going to see more punches thrown and probably landed on Kos’ part also because of that same reason. Rumble was right in there with him up until those two eye gouges. Anytime Rumble got something going, Kos would immediately shoot because it seemed as if he was just that little bit slower, which is quite a rare thing for him.

It’s not like i think Kos is a shitty fighter, in fact, up until this fight I actually liked him and I was torn on who I wanted to win beforehand.
