uninstalling IE7?

I use IE at work to transfer files thru HTTP, but honestly, IE7 blows… it crashes like it’s it’s job. I went to uninstall it but it doesn’t give me the “add/remove” box. I looked on MS’s website and it said to add a dword value to the registry, which of course didn’t work.

anyone know how to go back to IE6? I’d just say fuck it and run FF, but IT wouldn’t be too happy about it.

add remove programs… remove IE completely then reinstall or try going to add/ remove windows components

Edit: i just did this to my moms PC, +1 to IE7 sucking

or download and install IE6 again, that may work. i just avoid IE all together

FF>IE

agreed

System Restore to previous date/restore point (before explorer 7 was installed)

Umm… guys,

CORRECT ANSWER:

Add and Remove Programs
Find Internet Explorer 7.
Remove it.

It will AUTOMATICALLY revert back to 6!

thats the thing, it doesnt have the add/remove button… it’s just blank next to it

then you have to go to add/remove windows components, remove IE and reinstall it at the same place.

Note: your going to need your windows CD

Uncheck IE and then it will uninstall, recheck it and your going to need the cd to reinstall IE6

Edit: this is the fastest and easiest way, you can go to system restore but this will not work because your computer was working fine when you installed IE7
