Amazing…and what a great color…

That interior has to be the nicest I’ve ever seen. Looks like such amazing work.

Everything was pimp… Except for the undercut on the cage welds…

nice build, I love their attention to detail and respect to BMW design.

Of course you would say that.

That carbon work is incredible, and that exhaust is worth more than both of my cars put together.

i realize that this thing has a lot of money into it, but i really dont think its all that special.
wow its got a lot of money thrown at it. oh look an expensive exhaust and a supercharger.
the only impressive part about this car is the one off carbon parts, but even so theyre just ricey bits. if the dude wanted to cut weight he’d jsut leave the shit out.

plus that blue is ugly as sin.

You’re wrong…in every statement you made. This car was conceived, and executed in 2 months! They didn’t just open the catalog and go to town…did you read all the one off custom pieces that went into this car??? Everything was covered in this build to make for a serious street/track worthy car, as well as one that doesn’t look stripped (i.e. leaving shit out). And the craftsmanship…makes this look better than factory quality.

Of course I would… Over the last few years I’ve come to criticize every weld I see, even my own. From forums to everything I see in my everyday shenanegins… Especially ones on staircases…
All that money spent and they couldn’t hire someone to do it properly?

Everything is top notch. Except for that. :S

yes i read everything. did you read my post?
sure theres some carbon shit and the interior is pretty. i hardly consider this thing to be super built up. a repaint doesnt count for shit either because he could have just waited for a bit and gotten the colour he wanted in the first place.

it’s perfect…

as mentioned, BMW already did it better than any aftermarket tuning house could have done it…

no need to put a silly body kit or canards or a big ugly wing or fancy suspension arms or gaudy seats or silly steering wheels that delete airbags, cruise and other function. no funky stereo (OEM stereos are better than aftermarket ones these days anyways).

He left what BMW did perfectly well and everywhere he could he made an improvement with some of the best money can buy. Mods that are appropriate and made with forthought, not pieced together randomly… it’s almost a tribute

it’s gorgeous and most of us will never drive anything so amazing…

absolutely love it.

why so little boost though?

.

He already has 520+ hp, higher boost won’t make as much a difference in the performance of this track car, but will take its toll on the engine.

Looks like a stick to me?

I think my name summarizes…I <3 car

7 Speed Dual Clutch Trans, not a stick shift, more like a paddle shift.

Such a nice project.

Well said. It is a tribute to BMW.

Its a well done project, specially considering the time constraints.

It is an absolute pleasure…sigh miss my E36.

The fact that they pulled what they did off in the time frame they had to conceive and finish the car is a feat in itself. Of course having $$ will get things done, stat.

The car looks great and I agree with Bing that they did a good job respecting what BMW did with the car and didn’t go fucking up a good thing.

However, I am not overly impressed with the car as a whole. I respect what they did and in the time they did it. I have also had to pull off things like this for demanding customers and it’s not fun nor rewarding. I feel they could have done something really impressive with the car and their talents had they had a proper time schedule to build such a car. Other than pulling apart a car for a paint job, caging it and installing some bolt ons there is nothing there that makes that car stand out to me. I’m not saying that the work that went into it was not a huge task and that they do not deserve respect for that because of course they do. I’m just saying that I have seen more impressive cars built on much less of an allotted budget. The impressive thing here is the labor and procurement that went into making this thing a reality in such short time. Other than that the end product is not that impressive.

There is an old saying “There is never enough time to do things right but always enough time to do it right the second time”. I’m not saying that they did a bad job assembling the car I’m just saying that I’m sure it does not feel like a BMW with 20 miles on it anymore. There is and will always be bugs to work out that you just can’t shake down in that amount of time.

 to a tremendous effort.

Newmans BMW is much more exciting for me.

Awesome car, but whoever wrote that article makes it seem like they perfected warp travel or some shit
