i wouldn’t go that far:spunk:

What an idiot. He could have made hundreds of thousands of dollars… because the iphone doesnt even work in the rest of the world. Cingular/at&t is in europe… and this would be required.

It’s not like there are only 1 or 2 people living in that whole COUNTRY.

durrr… “i like my 350z. weeee”

Someone get me a hammer. I’m driving to RIT

Looks like multiple company’s know how to do it just afraid of a lawsuit. So he probably could not have sold it for $100,000+

“But Tracfone Wireless LLC, a Florida-based company selling phones that use prepaid plans, won an injunction in February against a couple who bought its phones in large numbers and resold them unlocked.
The U.S. District Court in Orlando found that the DMCA exception did not apply to those unlocking a phone with the intent to resell it.”

So if you unlock an iCar would you get a phone?

That brings up a whole new thing, if it is that difficult to unlock the iCar how do you even utilize it?

AT&T lawyers are already on it.

[/quote]

I doubt AT&T can do anything…Apple owns the IPhone not AT&T its the only phone that AT&T does not have control of in their line up.

^ the ideal is that it may be illegal to profit from cracking the phone.

FWIW.

AT&T doesn’t have much to stand on though, they apparently didn’t subsidize the cost of the handset, as with most ‘proprietary’ phone/provider pecific models.
