update!

hey guys, i’m that kid that goes to all the lvd meets dying to be drifting something. i haven’t posted or been on here in while so i thought i’d stop by:

i have a 1988 E30 i picked up for $260 (i have a thread somewhere on it) but basically what’s happening is it’s getting a cheap turbo kit, lowered a bit, and HOPEFULLY some drifting and track days at limerock and (maybe) watkins glen.

now, my 3000gt (vr4) is limping along on what seems to be a blown turbo, so that’ll get pulled later this week some pics and whatnot. but today i met up with another forum user ollie, who let me try on his works off his infiniti. after testing on some really awesome wheels, i decided to put the car on jackstands (since it’ll be torn apart for a while), sell my stock struts with lowering springs and start saving for some wheels (maybe by next summer). my goal is a feature…

sorry some of the pics are crappy, it was getting dark. ollie has some better ones for me *cough *cough haha

well that was a warm and heart felt re-welcoming

Yo whats up man… welcome back, again? back?

With a drop and a dash of negative camber that 3000GT should look pretty damn good on those Works.

lol i just wanted to say hellooooo to people because i haven’t been on here in god knows how long. and the works aren’t mine (i wish they were haha)

word that car would look pretty sick

Yeah, the truth hurts more than silence…

Shit looks retarded.

:rofl

Need a parts / project 3000GT VR4??? Let me know.

Barfffffff

well that’s honest… :zip

trolollll clearly i won’t ride at the height with that kind of offset. it was a test fit to see what i had to work with. and nah i don’t have the money for another money pit at the moment haha

with a drop that will definitely look rad

LOL obviously it looks retarded like that. If you can’t see the potential, then well I am sorry

i see the potential, i say sick wheels, hammered out, converted to rwd, vr4 drift car.

my dream is to drift one of these, but the transfer case wasn’t designed for all that power to the rear wheels only. it’s basically a fwd tranny with a transfer case running a driveshaft to the back haha it’s weakkkkkk. and the steering rack/rear crossmember (in the engine bay) wasn’t designed for a normal tranny running back, so an ls1/2jz/rb26 swap would be super difficult. and thanks for the back up ollie haha

Vt,s are built for a reason . I just think dropping it and taking away from the setup is dumb . It’s not mine so he can do as he pleases but if he is looking for a slammed drifted he is in the wrong platform . Ya can’t disagree with that

i’m not trying to pull some hipster drifting look… i’m going lower on a real set of coilovers and maybe acquire some awesome stance in the process too… i have too much heart and money into this car to drive it like a jackass bro, and if i “take away” from my setup, then all the more reason to not beat it into the ground and keep it show-car status haha the transmission in these cars are weak, and parts are very expensive and hard to come by. yes i had help from my dad with the initial restoration but if i fuck it up doing something stupid in it there is no chance he’ll help me out. that’s why i’d rather save that kinda stuff for my $260 E30

I know about them dude , I was a Mitsubishi tech , triple diamond certified .

well i guess i know who to ask for pointers in the future! lol
