upholstery cleaning

soo ever since i bought my tdi, the interior was in good shape minus the front seats… thats how i got it and its shit tan so i tried cleaning it with a upholstery cleaner and it did nothing, tried steam cleaning with this home steamer and it made it even worse…

anybody have any reccomendations? hoffmans car wash? i dunno.

No it’s cloth. I’m sure there is some really strong shit out there that will work.

try gasoline or nail polish remover . Heard they work really good.

se the problem is, it will take the stain out but will leave a reverse stain from taking the old stain out anbd it will still look like shit.

Ive gotta do something with my interior in the spring. Most cleaners just leave streaks and make it look worse.

My seats are an odd material that always shows waterspots.

Cleaning cloth in general sucks. The proper cleaner and a steamer should work well.

remove the seat cover from the seats, soak in a drywall bucket of strong cleaner (not strong enough to bleach them though), that will evenly remove all stains, dirt, grim, kbizz left overs, etc. then toss them into the washing machine, with some good detergant and fabric softner. then toss them into the dryer, reinstall on the car.

Its not a big deal, they are usally just stretched over the foam and held to the bottom of the frame with a plastic strip thing that interlocks with a channel on the seat frame. Maybe its hog ringed, but thats nothing some diag plyers cant break and a hog ring tool and clips are like $10, ask big red to see if he has his tool and some rings left. I used to have one but have no idea where its at atm.
