upstate races you'd like to see

yea i killed my buddies 06 sti outta the hole in the mach 1 with nitto drs

Just plain jane street tires and I have yet to be outlaunched on the street unless I was sleeping at the light.

LVD? Different story.

1.96 sixty foot is an EMBARRASSMENT to AWD :nono

id love a 1.96 short time

lol id love 1.49 or better

When you put on a 300 SHOT and make my power, then come talk to me.

You realize, a lot of times, I’d just roll off the line for tuning? It’s like if I make a run at WG, it would be: OMG Shawn makes 600WHP but went 13.2 $)%$#$

AWD is perfect for a street car. Sure you can pull better than us on the track but unless your seriously a good driver and have some decent street tires, it will be hard to beat us on a street launch. But i’ve seen it happen soo…nothings impossible

would be nice, id love to cut anything better than what ive gotten. i did a 2.0 in my old 91 gti VR6 on 205-50-15s, a lot less power, but if i want 2.0 or better im gonna need slicks and 2 big bottles of NAWZ

i pulled of a 2.0 with a RWD on no name street tires

2 extra slugs, 1 extra turbo… nuff said.

but its a stock 3.0 with off the shelf mitsu evo3’s

Not trying to be a dick but ive never had an AWD car get me on the street out of the hole. Just need to know how to drive, alot of times AWD guys think they automatically have the launch and get a little cocky and i find people dick up the starts pretty easily. Not saying thats you or ill never get beat by one but havent so far.

twin 16g’s > stock 9b’s…

So 10 extra turbos the size of a peanut would be better?

EVO/STI/3S = avg 1.7-1.8 60’ in stock form. The short game of those cars make it hard for just about any other non-AWD to handle on the street unless they have tires (what are the odds?) and even then they should be heated.

I think AWD is great for 12 sec + cars until you get the RWD cars in the 11s and down who definately have tires and probably can drive. Then, the DTL/weight really makes it suck.

really? thanks for clearing that up. :runaway

RWD came first and is more widely used in all of motorsports, therefore it is better and i wish i had it. AWD is good for inclimate conditions. FWD is good for toyota corrolas… i hate my car

Hard to argue this. Good point.

Mmm true dat

i cut like a 2.2 60’ :sad when i ran 13.1

my STi has never seen the strip…pulled a 2.27 sixty on street tires in a focus tho. :lol
