Hey, Ray Charles, did you actually watch the replay of that facemask? He literally stuck his hand in the guys facemask and used his forearm stuck in there to pull the guy down. He is lucky that he didn’t get a 15 yard penalty.
That was absolutely the correct call, I dont give a shit how much you whine and complain.
And on Leinhart, I liked him until he made that statement about being the better team. That just sounded like a whiny little bitch instead of being a gracious loser like Carroll was, giving Texas credit for making the plays, etc…
Now, if you wanna complain about the officials, complain about the fact that they did not review the play where Young’s knee was down when he pitched the ball… That would be something that USC fans might have a legit gripe about, but that facemask was a good call.
wow…cuz announcers know what they are talking about  :jerkit:
i was routing for usc 100% though…great game enjoyed watching it, other team won…o well
im not from either place and i am a UM fan above any college, but def wanted usc to win
edit: i did not agree with the call either b4 seeing the replay but announcers dont know shit…example: JOHN MADDEN …!!!
correct, but he is doing that to make a point. he didnt like how he was runner-up to Bush by a landslide for the heiseman, so i guess hes kinda doin that to poke fun at Bush since Bush didnt do too much last night and he was a major factor in Texas winnin the game.
also, i didnt like what Matt said after the game either. thats just bein a bitch.
i guess USC had a couple close calls/bad breaks, but throughout the course of the season they got ALOT of calls their way that decided the outcomes for games (ie- Notre dame) so i guess it came back around the other way this time
You are not only blind but apparently hard of hearing too. The announcers pointed out that it could have easily been called a 15 yard penalty. Even without the penalty it still would have been less than 5 yards to pick up on 4th down which Texas showed they could pretty much do at will against the USC defense. Not being able to make 4th and short on 2 different occasions as well as having a heisman trophy winner make one of the dumbest plays ever kept USC from putting Texas away. Vince Young clearly showed who was the best player on that field last night.
what???..maybe last night but when its draft day and bush is fat paid and the #1 pick i dont your statement will hold true. and Lendale White is sweet too but bush is just awesome
pete carroll kept the heisman trophy winner on the sideline for TWO 4th and shorts. You don’t go for it with 2 minutes left on the 50. Waste a timeout on a two point play that at the time is meaningless if you can’t have the time to get down and kick the ball. I think the calls went both ways, i saw the biggest block in the back on one of USC big third down plays.
matt Lienart is a pussy for his statement.
National Championship > Heisman. Look at half the bums that won the heisman, well they became bums. Football is a team sport, the ultimate goal is a team championship. Ask dan marino if he’d trade his NFL MVPs for a superbowl. The Best team won. USC is lucky they didn’t lose a few times this season.
How can you even compare a QB to a RB, especally in Coll. FB?
Lienart > Young
Bush > White(he never got playing time …hmm wonder why)
I will agree there, I was embarrassed as a USC fan that Matt would say that they were still a better team, at least Reg and Matt went to the Texas locker room to congradulate them after the game…that shows class to me.
If the Steelers finally lost a game after winning 34 in a row, I think you would be upset as well, and try to find reasons to why they lost
You make some of the most asinine statements EVAR. How about you jump off the bandwagon. Why do I have a funny feeling that if, 3 years from now, Florida State had a 34 game winning streak and lost to someone, you’d be doing the same whiny bullshit?
