Dubya?
damn, he won the presidency two years in a row and now a heisman!! he’s doing good!
i was going to listen to the heisman thing on sirius today but totally forgot about it
The top five were:
- Bush (USC)
- Young (TEXAS)
- Leinert (USC)
- Quinn (ND)
- Robinson (PSU)
pretty much what i expected
Reggie is just too good. He will be very good in the nfl
i watched their last two games and WOW… just wow, the kid is a phenom back there! deserves it 100%
bush is awesome, i just think that announcers get caught up in the best ever stuff. he’s no better than any of the greats. marcus allen, juice, bo jackson, hershal walker, barry sanders, TONY D!!!
Its funny how they vote for the heisman, some years they give it to the most valuable to their team (jason white two years ago) sometimes they give to the most outstanding like with reggie this year. there is not doubt that young is more valuable to his team but the Heisman even says on it “most outstanding” thats why bush deserved it, larry should have won the heisman. How can rocket ismail not have a heisman? he’s the most electifying player in the history of college football. i think the writers vote is flawed and will always be flawed. the heisman vote should be coaches and former winners.
the heisman vote should have waited till after the game on jan 4.
why do you constantly bring up sports from the 60s and 70s like you were there. other than the rocket, he’s teh best college player i’ve seen
because you can’t love a game and not know its history. marcus bo, hershal, barry were all from the 80’s? when someone is dominating people start to get short memories. I doesn’t hurt reggie that matt leinart is his qb and lyndale white is his back up. edge, marshall faulk, portis, mcgahee, eddie george, ladanian, rickey, they were all amazing too. reggie is a great but once you get there its impossible to say one guy was just so much better than the rest. I say rocket was the most amazing “player” because he was a punt and kick returner, a RB, a WR and a split end. he took over games without even touching the ball, just the threat of him… Rocket had one chance to win the 91 orange bowl for ND. maybe a minute left he takes a punt at his 9 and went the distance, even when chad brown had him wrapped up and was about 60 pounds heavier he broke loose. sure it was brought back by a penalty(bad call) but with his one shot he did it. when the season was on the line he did performed a miracle when the other team knew what he was gonna do and he still did it.
If Desmond Howard didn’t have a Heisman, they I would say that Rocket wouldn’t deserve one either… But if Howard has one, Rocket Ismail should of defenately won it… Anyone know who won the Heisman that year?

im a big UT fan, always like them! and i wanted to see vince young win it, i knew he wasnt but still, i think hes worth more to the texas team than bush is to usc
Young is that offense for UT, take him away, and u take a lot away from texas!
exactly why they need to have an MVP and the heisman. sometimes they give the heisman to the the MVP and sometimes they don’t. they need to be consistant with it. Its for the most outstanding, some times the most outstanding is the MVP as well. jason white was the most vaulable to his team but we all know larry was the most outstanding. Vince young may not have gotten a personal award but his reward will come on jan 4 when they beat usc. USC has looked beatable many times this year. its time for them to fall.
wow, i cant belive this, but i agree with you a lot today
i got a 50 dollar bet with a buddy that i said UT will win, he doesnt understand spreads and shit like that, so its an out right bet. i wanted to go 200 bucks, but he said 50, i said fine…i cant wait, im going to give him a UT shirt
