Vander3 callout

I was 3 cars back from the SloBluSUV/Ferarri run, and was a little bit jelly that I couldn’t beat the pants off of him.

As soon as I saw him I wanted to get one race in. Someone told me he was running mid 8s so I knew it would be a close one if he could launch it. It was a ferrari 360.
On our pass I went 8.32@85(new pb at Lancaster) to a 8.88@84. No one got vids.

i still want this vette

It can still be yours.

Next wednesday boys?
If so what time will you be there choda?
We got there around 930 I think

Update:

3rd time down the track:

Reaction: 1.1921
60 ft: 2.4507
330 ft: 6.2668
594 ft: 8.6807
1/8: 9.1928
MPH: 87.87

I realize its not that great, but i literally have less than 1 minute of seat time at the track.

I plan on being there. I wan’t to see your buddy’s C6 z06 run.

  1. stop sleeping at the light.

  2. pretty bad 60ft. try peddling it to get out of there instead of just hammering down. youll be quicker.

I too want to see his z06 run it. Might be coming with a modified g8 and a turbo diesel truck

Lol, sleeping at the light.
My best is .91

what light you leaving on?

bracket light there is .500…

im used to pro tree .400 lol

Don’t get on him about reaction time learn to drive the car first

MPH is also low for that setup

^^^how is reaction time not part of driving a car?

leave as soon as the second bulb shuts off if you have to.

can also try staging deeper, however you will have a slightly slower mph and et if you stage deeper because you wont already be “rolling” through when you trip the beams. but this is pretty small, not critical unless youre racing very competitve classes where everyone is within thousandths of seconds.

His issue is his launch look at the 60 foot

He needs to get the launch and driving down before worrying about reaction time

When people worry about the lights and can’t drive they get a shitty launch

He isn’t bracket racing and that car should be running in the 7s

lol umm i did also say to work on his 60ft…

has nothing to do with bracket racing.

You said worry about reaction time

yes. reaction time always matters. it doesnt matter if your bracket or racing heads up. racing heads up like these guys are first one across the line wins it doesnt matter what the et is its your overall time. he had a reaction time of 1.19…if he ran someone that had a near perfect light, say .510, then he just gave the other guy over a half second advantage.

dont try and talk to me like i dont know what the fuck im talking about, ive been drag racing competitively for quite a while. ive seen more races then i can count that were won on the tree.

fucking idiot.

No shit

But running low 9s and getting beat by a stock s2000 when you should be running low-mid 7s you could sleep at the light for a couple sec

The only thing he should be working on is launch and then worry about getting a .500 reaction

so yes get him cutting .500s and running 9s and still getting destroyed by much slower cars because the launch and driving sucks is very practical

It depends if you’re racing to beat the guy next to you, or if you’re racing to get the best ET and trap you can.

Say he runs 7.30 instead of running 9.0 that is 1.7 sec difference

Even if he cuts a 1.0 reaction time he would have still beat the s2000

It’s a lot easier to fix reaction time(not talking about a perfect light but something reasonable) vs launching and driving

true, but if you’re racing the guy next to you it isn’t always going to be a slower car, so you need to work on both.
