Mandalay Bay?
I want to go, want to stay at one of those cause i think i can get a pretty good deal.

even tho anytime i have been there we do the “old LV” just b/c its like $40 a night and the bus taks like 20 min to get to “new” area
Excalibur was nice when I was there 10 years ago but I was sick of the Ye Olde theme in about an hour so I went back and spent the remainder of my trip at the Luxor.

Excalibur is annoying like 2Turboz says.
Mandalay bay is probably nicer…has a MUCH better pool area (if you’re going when it’s warm enough), but I do believe it’s the farthest south on the strip.
Excalibur is only two casinos north of it, but that’s a little more centrally located on the strip.
If you’ve never been, prepare for a lot of walking…Everything is a lot more spaced out than I thought it would be based on TV/Movies…
FWIW, I heard you could get some pretty great deals at the Wynn, which is supposed to be really nice, especially with its new wing that just opened. YMMV, however.
Mandalay for sure. Love that place.
Mandalay over excalibur. Pick up Ye Olde $10/night Rental Car for good measure, since everywhere has free parking.

Mandalay Bay is much nicer than the Excalibur
The only thing Excalibur has going for it is Dicks Last Resort (which I highly reccomend for a quick stop). Mandalay is good. Even though it’s the furthest south on the strip it still only puts you a 4min taxi ride to everything else.
Excalibur is a shit hole on the strip man. I would put it right in the same ballpark as Circus Circus…
Take a look at the go rooms at Flamingo. They are recently updated, and nice and cheap right now.
Flamingo is more center strip, excalibur is a walk to anywhere else.
I was at Excalibur three years ago and it was bad. Really outdated but really cheap for college kids.
They check room keys so you cant cram extra people in the room. Unless your sneaky.

i stayed at the excalibur a little over a year ago with my poor college buddies. it wasn’t that bad really, but there’s much better out there. mgm grand supposedly has pretty good rates right now too but that place is huuuge
